that's a pretty good deal actually.. my dad pays $60 a month from speakeasy for 1.5mbit/700kb connection and we only get 1.1mbit down. oh well.. at least there's no transfer limit.
naa, they aren't rude like the people living in the states. people in trains are expected to put their cell phones on manner mode and everybody is usually mailing because of it.
when my friend and i were in the car, she got a phone call; she immediately told the person that she was in the car and that she'll call back. thats a pretty rare thing to see over here...
to put it simply, ipod is advertised a LOT. you see it on the bus ads, tv, the "free deals" on the net, pretty much everywhere. ive never seen (at least i dont think) a PDA ad anywhere except on gagdet-specific sites.
right.... >_> i still cant believe that my grandpa whos 80+ years old has a internet connection that big.
o well, cant wait to get my hands on it again.
I've gone there once with my dad. They have ALL the electronics there.. its just amazing. When you want to buy things, you can go up to a salesman to lower the prices and they usually do! I really don't know about the anime otaku scene there but yeah, it's a really cool place for the tecchy people.
Oh and I think those kind of people only crowd in Akihabara. Shibuya/Harajuku/Shinjuku and other cities are very different.
shibuya, harajuku, and shinjuku are "fashion" cities.
blame the parents, arrest the predators. nuff said...

Americans are definitely ripped off with this. My grandpa in Japan gets about 40-50mbits and he pays about 3,200yen (about $28USD?) a month.
wow thats pretty cool.. making money for blogging..
thats so stereotypical. that was kinda offending to me because im from japan...
i saw the guy picking up either 3 bags of rice or 3 bags of sand on international tv in the morning. it was pretty amazing...
