How do you explain numbers like these? OS Platform Stats: XP with a 70% share, up 40% from March 2003. Linux and OSX at 3% each, no change.
More people getting online, more people buying computers, which come with Microsoft on them. More people upgrading from old Windows versions means XP picks up percentages.
Theres only so much you can push people. Windows XP did not deliver what people thought it would and Vista won't achieve what it set out to do, and updates take too long coming. Many people I know are or will switch to Linux in the near future because it makes more sense in the long run.
Keep pushing people and they will try something else, look at Firefox or Opera.
All it takes is a little piece of information to hit the public and people will begin to learn more about it, and adopt it.
That would be a great idea, if people are going to submit designs for the site, apart from the absolute god-awful ones, why not allow people to use them, and then use the winner as the default.
As it stands at the moment I can not see a problem with it, though the fact they did not tell anyone is worrying, it seems a reasonable idea. The fact is they could easily change the information printed, and no one would be any the wiser.
Be sure to look out for your height, weight, eye color and political view point all on your next assignment!
Fine them. Oh wait.
Until the money they gained from illegal activities is less than the money taken away from them when punished they will continue, it's good business sense.
I did use that, the trouble occured when Firefox decided it didn't like Real Alternative which meant I had to use RP or IE, and out of the two I'd choose RP
I have had two MCE2005 computers and loved them both, unfortunately the first one had the motherboard melted, apparently couldn't cope with my 24hour 7days a week uptime, but the current one is doing great (3 months old:d )
Inbetween them I had a Power Cinema software installed on a Windows XP machine, and that was awful.
MCE gives me unlimited (hard drive is huge) recording time, free guide (one off payment for machine), and is one of the most easy to use software packages I have seen in a long time, the GUI is also lovely.
Microsoft did this right, and it is MCE that is keeping me from switching to Linux, because I love my MCE
Thanks to the BBC using Real Player for it's streaming media I have Real Player installed, but also thanks to the license fee for the BBC I get Real Player sans everything else for free, so no ads, no other crappy software, just real player. Still not great, and I'd prefer something else, but it's better than download Real Player from real.com as the basic edition

That all goes to the Men in Black

I've been an advocate of mandatory sterilization for a while now. With IQ tests and ability tests for those who wish to be unsterilized. [/off topic]
Thanks for that, wave goodbye to Real Player :)
