    Guess I was lucky in that everyone I speak to has MSN Messenger, which IMO is the better one :)
    All personal opinion I guess, but anything to remove AOL from the top of somethign makes me happy

    Let us use OUR downloads as WE want. That means any player, any time, as long as I own it. Until then I will download for free or rip from CD.

    Scientists are testing possible sites for the telescope in Hawaii, Mexico and Chile.

    Slashdot built in! Also it seems to take better use of my screen space, more customisation is possible, it has MY weather - not weather from 50 miles away from me, I use Hotmail more than Gmail (due to pain of updating), and actually easier and nicer to use, IMO

    Well it beats Opera, which gets nothing, not even a nice error bar!

    And it seems the same except the sidebar which seems a bit squashed in Firefox

    Seems to be working OK in Firefox at the moment, and I don't know about you, but this beats Google IG in my opinion!

    Considering still 90% of people, inc me, use a Windows environment, having your software work on it is not a bad idea, unless you want to cut 90% of your market off without even trying. Get people onto free open source software and they may try your OS. I wouldn't have tried Linux if I hadn't tried OSS such as Firefox/OO, yes it's silly but I didn't know about it before them.

    Google's proposed scheme only gives you a small section of the book though, with a library you get the whole thing

    Its great that a lot of the people opting out think this will save them, when all you need to do is visit local library and get entire book to read for free. Surely this is worse?

    You DO NOT want a broadcast flag, it is evil.
    A Broacast Flag is a set of status bits (or "flags") sent in the data stream of a digital television program that indicates whether or not it can be recorded... Possible restrictions include ... forceful reduction of quality when recording (such as reducing high-definition video to the resolution of standard TVs), and inability to skip over commercials.
