While I am hardly a friend of contemporary corporate practices, surely one can hardly argue that one needs no authority to ask something of another....and if the other complies with the request...I say "Yay!" for keeping the courts out of it. If the courts became involved that is when freedom falls to the wayside.
Exit poll discrepancies...when was the last time you did an exit poll and gave them the truth? Better to confuse the enemy and claim you voted for the other guy.

I think more important is the supposed presumption on the judge's part that it was a premature dismissal request simply because the RIAA representatives said they had a letter. Maybe the RIAA has that judge in their pocket, or vice versa?..Be aware...the RIAA probably will skate free and not have to answer for their willful perjury.

It seems to me that any policy that emboldens your enemy to present himself is an acceptable course of action...Unless you prefer your enemies lurking and hiding...waiting for an opportunity to engage you on their terms...bad plan.
Iraq has been needing a civil war since the day it was created...any split populace which is forced to meld will eventually need to decide it's identity, most often through war...especially when its identity is artificially created by others.

Yeah...the Iraq issue is a mess...but not because it became an issue. The west has grown fat with cowards...they have the know how and spirit to do what is right, but lack the conviction and can no longer stomach ideals of truth.
Perhaps some people in the world still see the truth of things..unfortunately, those that do not will fall to those that do. There are no innocents...in war there is no segment of a population that is innocent..the soldiers, are obviously the enemy, the government likewise..the children, are the next generation..the women are either soldiers, logistical support, moral support, or at the very least..the root from which the generation after the next will come. Just simple facts of war, and any nation which tries to remove the horror of war...is doomed to live with war or become part of history.
Funny thing about the Western cowards..how loudly and proudly they roar when they can easily point their fingers at one nation: Bad Bad U.S.A., or one man: Evil evil Bush...or maybe its the Christians..definate bad bad people...there is always someone else to blame, but maybe...take a look in the mirror, and complain about your own complacency...uncover your deaf ears...open your eyes, as there are no innocents, as even your purchase yesterday at the local store has supported the machine, tainting your hands with blood.
If we acknowledge such natural cycles occur, why change our own nature? Shall we stand against our own reality as a man might stand against the course of the cosmos? Perhaps acknowledging that we are nature and nature is us...or, maybe we truly are gods or at least images of some god...then yeah, we damn well need to clean up our act and what we've done to this world.
What is with this mindset? "natural process, a man-made process or a combination?" I gather that you and others which espouse similar perceptions, by placing man as a non-natural process...you are coming from... where?

There will always be supposed authorities as those initially listed, sources being cited as fact, data repositories being listed as some sort of divine truth on some supposed work performed in time past, and just plain so and so said so and supposedly has a credential that says he knows this and that.
To accept something as fact because a multitude of sources say it's fact...sounds more like faith..or is it foolishness?
Oddly, it's those same fools err...faithful that will state that they (humanity) are responsible for the ills of the world, like they are removed from or outside the mechanism of our reality...like a parasite upon the world.

Hmm...maybe they've played us all this time...and those that would have us as parasites upon the face of the world which are destroying it, really are the faithful...and see themselves as the self righteous custodians as laid out in their bible, rather than a living breathing part of this fascinating cycle of life.
Interesting for one to presume that no evidence of a struggle is present in a suffocation case. Without "evidence of a struggle" due to resistive thrashing around, a body still resists deprivation if only internally able, leaving obvious signs of suffocation. But yeah, "Doesn't take a genius..." kind of shows the intellectual capacity of those which would espouse such a presumption.
Out of curiosity, to what would you attribute the SIDS cases which fall outside of your calculated "majority"?
Don't forget the whole issue of sovereignty. A nation that forsakes it's sovereignty to a foreign body also forsakes its ability to even ratify such a thing...thus rendering it null in the first place. Thus a sovereign nation cannot ratify this and remain sovereign. Unfortunately most of our employees in government and in fact most of the active populace which hire these people to govern us and for us seem to have forgotten what a nation is.
