Does anyone know of a good site which has a listing of multi-platform applications?
That is, a huge list of software which runs on both Win and Lin (and OS X)?
Not only the obvious ones such as OpenOffice.org, AbiWord, Firefox, but also XnView, Acronis True Image, Google Earth, etc..
I love Google... I must use a dozen Google services. But do I want Google to have an archive of all my email, my searching habits, AND my real name and credit card number? I think not.
This one has been my desktop background since time immemorial. It's a 39.6MB TIF, play around with the settings to convert this really nicely, JPEGs floating around on the web don't look anywhere near as nice.

I was away from the game for 3 months, and when I returned I found guards who can see through invisibility, guards with incredible knockback, guards swimming around in the water in Booty Bay, and that attacking a town can spawn dozens of guards immediately.
Given that questgivers and NPCs in towns respawn very quickly, and that I play on a PvP server, why are you trying to make it impossible to PvP in any city or town?
I only have one 60 (a rogue) and divide my time among many low-level alts. I would gladly accept chain-gankage in Redridge if I can sneak around Ogrimmar and knock a few heads together without being spotted by the scouts who apparently can see me like I am a level 1.
So the question: Where does it end?
