1. What do they mean by safe? on 5% of All Web Traffic Unsafe · · Score: 3, Insightful

Do they just mean safe for IE. At least, that is what I gather from TFA. Who cares? Just use Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, or Lynx.

LOL! Back in the day, I did a search for Starfox (I think it was on Altavista, but it might have been on Yahoo!). One of the results I got was "****, tits, ass, nude."

I learned what the phrase "getting their cherries popped" meant from the results of another search on 'videogames.' God, I love the Internet!

The 'masses' would be far more likely to jump to a platform that encourages hardware support and widespread distribution, such as Linux. Everyone who is prepared to launch the "Linux is hard to use" crap should check out http://www.ubuntulinux.com/. Anyway, Apple is a systems company; they do not exclusively sell hardware or software; they sell a Mac. They are not interested in competing with Windows directly; that is suicide. Linux has only beaten Microsoft in areas where MS did not have a significant domination, such as servers and embedded systems. While Apple does sell XServes, those servers mostly appeal to all-Mac shops. Unless Apple plans to add PDA functionality to the iPod, I think it will not succeed in the embedded systems market either. Too bad; that is where most of the money is nowadays.

They did flirt with the idea of using Linux; see the Wikipedia stub at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MkLinux for more information. Jobs even tried to hire Linus Torvalds at one time.

BS! Some people, such as myself, just have naturally bad handwriting. Sometimes, mine is so bad that I have difficulty reading it. Bad handwriting can be a symptom of poor hand-eye coordination, poor timing, or poor concentration (unless you are actively trying to write neatly rather than just writing). If someone is unprepared to write, for example, an essay, they will just 'fluff' their way through it.

How old are your children? Are you sure they want to be MBAs? If they are less than 15 years of age, they most likely have no idea about what they want to do. I am not saying that becoming an MBA is a bad thing, but make sure it is their passion. Having to fulfill their parents' dreams instead of their own is what puts a lot of kids on 'da drugs' in the first place.

Have you ever played Ultima IX? It was in production for five years (1994-1999), and it was crappy and looked very rushed. The DNF team has not been working consistently on the the same game for 10 years. This big delay has been caused by several engine changes, several redesigns of the game to use new technology, etc.
