You need to use a capital E in "English" in English.

Actually, no. Beta had superior quality etc. But VHS gave people what they wanted, longer record times. Just like X86 is an inferior architecture to the PowerPC, but it does what people want better, be fast. Sometimes what's important is not to try to quality whether one technology is "better" or "worse", but "does it do what I need it to".

Is this really just harmless fun? Or is this research geared at creating the perfect robotic soldier for the military? Automated robotic soldier stuff can be very scary. There was this Star Trek TNG episode (1x21, The Arsenal of Freedom if I'm not mistaken), which demonstrates the deadly potential of robotic weapons. If this "game" brings us any closer to extinction by robotic killing machines, I'm all against it.

  7. Wtf Lunix? on Cringely Shows How to Get Free Cell Calls · · Score: -1, Troll

    Wtf.

Lunix is this crappy thing that's just a stolen pirate copy of MS-DOS blown up to 50 Gigabytes of install DVD:s by including hi-rez penguin porn and 52 different image viewers. (None of which support reading GIF files because they're too lame to pay patent royalties LOL.) Also, you can't get IE for Lunix.

No, the only real platform to run this on is Mac OS 9. (Not Mac OS X. It's for fagots. It has some weird files hidden within it about cookie recipes and flowers and other weird lunix fagot stuff.) Mac OS 9 is grate. You get IE for it. (You don't get IE for Mac OS X because Microsoft stopped developing their IE for Mac OS X). But the fagots at Skype don't even know what a Mac is so they don't have a Mac version.

Also Mac OS X is fagot software because it runs on Intel/IBM chips, not on the vastly superior Motorola 68k chipset.

  8. Utterly pointless. on Cringely Shows How to Get Free Cell Calls · · Score: -1, Troll

This is completely pointless. I mean, you have to keep your computer running all day and not crash. After all, Skype is Windows-only software. How are you going to make it not crash? That's going to cost a lot of money too in just power. I mean, how much is power these days? Computers take a lot of power, you can get like 500 Watt power supplies these days, and many modern computers need this so the power supply doesn't blow. Yawn. I think it's better to just get all your friends get cell phones, and call them for free using the cell-to-cell call plan like your provider intends to, instead of doing some communist Lunix solution.

Is this a troll or are you just misinformed? It's hard to tell sometimes. If it is a troll, excellent work. You caught me.

Anyway, the energy density of ethanol and biodiesel are comparable to the energy density of gasoline and petrodiesel.

In fact, I suspect that the energy density of ethanol is in fact slighlty higher than that of gasoline, since flexifuel cars (which run both on ethanol and gasoline as required) will give you more engine horsepower when fueled with ethanol.

Now with hydrogen compared to more complex fuels, you may have a point.

This would depend fully on the content, I think... who would pay to see TV shows and such when they could use a TV?
I would. There are a lot of TV shows that'll never make it to the country where I live, and if they do, it'll take me several years. Now, I do download this stuff off bittorrent already, but I might be persuaded to pay a reasonable fee to download it legally, if the people producing the TV shows would allow it. Also, I don't have a TV, because the socialist country I live in requires me to pay a license fee to even own a television, even if I never watch the crappy government-owned free-to-air channels.

Only a heartless bastard would pay $300,000 (where do you think that money comes from? Inheritance money of course!) to get a new heart just to live a few more weeks. The guy should just die already to let his family have $300,000 more to fight over after the funeral. Then again, maybe you don't have to be a heartless bastard. If you're having the heart replaced, your old one must be broken. I guess that's the same. Or something. Damn egoists.
