I then have to say "maybe if you weren't trying so hard to cut costs...". There's a risk involved in outsourcing production; a risk that people will take your product, copy it, and you can't do anything about it because of a lack of means of enforcement.
Then why aren't they doing anything about it? It's all well and good to speak out against things like this, but there still aren't any regulations in place to prevent this. Place stricter controls on the factories, have regular inspections and irregular spot-checks on the factories, or better yet, move it all to a country with a bit more regard for IP rights if they really cared.
Go for a Panasonic Y7. Decently sized non-glossy screen there. Plus Panasonic has wonderful warranty service (oh, and it's not China-made, if you care about that).
Why? Yahoo still has all of its international operations; the US market isn't the make-or-break. Heck, there's got to be somewhere where Yahoo is number 1 in marketshare.
Er, they did what? Don't think that ever happened. While Youtube was still accessible in China they never blocked any of their search results from showing up. On the other hand, the government blocked any search results after the first page.
Um, what? I must have missed the part where either Korea was occupied by the US. Japan, yes. America, don't think so (unless you're stretching the definition of "occupation" as far as I think you are- in that case we might as well call Japan and a quarter of Europe "US-occupied" too).
If you didn't know already (seems like it from this post), doing the verbal equivalent of hitting people over the head with a chunk of steel isn't the way to get them to listen to you.
how many times has this been copy-pasted now?

And I wish the US would match Canada's rule. Seriously, why does importing cars have to be harder than importing any other comsumer product?
Never been to Japan, have you? Yahoo has plenty of life left in it, even if it's all overseas.

Was and still is. I have to rely on a Japanese video-sharing site to get my video fix.
The vast majority of people think that the only reason to publicize your opinion is to convince people. That's why.
You sound an awful lot like some Serbs are about Kosovo...
I believe I was referring to Vidalia when I mentioned that (should have been clearer). It really helps a lot.
The solution is to find a video site that still works. Nico Nico Video is one of them.
If you download the latest version it will show you where you are being routed through. You can disconnect any nodes that you worry about.
You'd be surprised how short summer holiday is in Chinese schools compared to those of the rest of the world.
Congratulations- your post is the first -1 Insightful I have seen.
Only if you used google.cn. It can't detect your region; if you use, say, google.com or .co.jp instead it won't alter search results.
I suppose that they might be willing to take down some videos for content or something...
I find that Nico Nico Video is still accessible and fully usable. Yes, call me a weeaboo all you like for using a Japanese site but at least it works.
But China's actually hosting it...

In America, maybe. Outside America, not so much.
I second this. Great browser for small screens.

You didn't know this before you married her? Or is that why she's a late ex-wife (not implying that the "late" part was your doing, of course)?
Uh, I'm not sure I WANT to see a 40year-old lolita or gal... More power to them all the same.
This does remind me that I should go to Japan again sometime.
