So as someone with incredibly high (I'd even go at far as saying overactive) metabolism and who is way underweight because of it, should I start loading my diet with lots of fructose and corn-syrup so I actually gain a little mass?

Or will this eventually make my heart stop, or cause me some other unwanted health issues?

Seen all the episodes? There are simplistic jokes like farting, but when I say "intellectual", I mean they make jokes out of things you don't expect. Futurama does the same thing. And this is a very intelligent way to make people laugh in my opinion.

But when Peter mentions that "someone lost an eye at bingo" followed by a flashback of the bingo caller dropping "I-17" on the ground (which is funny by itself); and then followed by the bingo caller bending over to pick up the bingo ball and smashing his eye into the corner of the table. I'm sorry, but that's just some smart humor.

Yes, my idea of "intellectual humor" may not be the exact same as yours, and I may even be a little off by making that claim, but their jokes ARE very thought out and smart.

Plus, I always hated "FRASIER." Just for the record. Not funny.

  17. I don't get it. on PC Gaming Declared Not Dead Again · · Score: 5, Insightful

I'm really not understanding why anyone has ever thought PC gaming will die. The simple fact remains that with PC gaming you don't usually have to buy a new $500 system to play that new game you so desperately want to play. You can simply turn down your graphic settings and enjoy it like everyone else with lower realism and performance. And only sometimes will you need to buy a new video card or some extra RAM (usually for much cheaper than a whole new gaming system)

Just because PC gaming isn't quite as mainstream popular as buying that new XBOX360 or PS3, doesn't mean there isn't still a HUGE market for people who enjoy using a keyboard and mouse to steer their car and blow away the enemy.

And with more and more in-game advertisements on billboards and street corner shops, the industry should continue to have plenty on funding to give us the excellent gameplay and storylines we all enjoy.

    PC gaming isn't going anywhere.

  19. Re:Teach all on Federal Judge Rules Against Intelligent Design · · Score: 1

Yes, it should be taught. But it should NOT be taught in a science classroom. There's nothing wrong with teaching "all" theories in classrooms as long as they are taught in the correct classrooms. What's wrong with an "alternative theories" class?

I really don't understand why the push for these teachings needs to be in biology and other science classes.

It's simple, without the ablility to use the scientific method with hypotheses, testing, conclusions, etc, a subject cannot be allowed in a science class. This is the same reason history lessons aren't taught in science classes.

Becoming lax and allowing anything and everything to be taught in a science classroom is incredibly damaging for science and the scientific community. It will begin to discredit all the amazing discoveries and accomplishments to date because sooner or later people won't be able to tell the difference between real science and these OTHER non-scientific theories.

Let's look at history. How many professions and "hobbies" have become obsolete because of advances in technology? This is just the way it goes. How many blacksmiths and coal miners do you know of today?

Just because some amateur and expert radio broadcasters may not be able to continue what they do is no reason to ignore a major technological advance. They will need to adapt and move on like to many others throughout history. Maybe it's time to start broadcasting over XM?
