Its possible to be injured in ways other than just physically. What about fraud and identity theft? If you're driving along, hit a bump and your trunk flies open ejecting all your personal belongings into the street*, I think you'll have a hard time suing for those damages. It seems you are seriously confused about the difference between stopping public worship and refusing to sponsor public worship. That means that under the Constitution they can't sponsor any religious events. If the kids want to pray, nobody is stopping them but school officials at a publicly funded institution cannot endorse a religion. You are not acting on behalf of yourself in that capacity. Also, nobody is stopping the teachers from standing in the middle of the yard and praying to themselves. What they are stopping is teachers encouraging and endorsing the meetings! We've got Christian schools not run by the state where they allow that. For some reason that's just not good enough.
Doe v. Tangipahoa Parish School Board says yet again, that, acting as a state sponsored official, you cannot endorse another religion. You're all for protecting your rights but you don't give a shit about the rights of others. The separation of church and state is for our protection. This really sucks. I bought quite a few videos I couldn't find anywhere else. People take for granted that VHS and DVD are at an endless supply. That's simply not true. Most VHS and a lot of DVD are out of print now. The only way to watch these are to get very lucky and find an overpriced copy or do something illegal.
Now that I look back over my purchases, I see a few shows that were never released to DVD at all. So the only way to watch these is to record them off the air or watch the download that I paid for. Suddenly it looks like I won't have that option now. If I could have done something to protect my investment (I bought it to own, not rent) such as burn it to a CD or backup to another HD I would be fine. As it is, I'm completely screwed, thanks to the whim of some company that cares absolutely nothing about me.
Using this as a way to push Google Checkout is even more evil. Not only do I not get what I paid for, I don't get a refund and to claim my exchange I have to jump through hoops and buy something I didn't want in the first place.
