    I've been told that mainlining heroin is also a pleasurable experience, supposedly worth every bit of what you pay for it.

    (I drink coffee and/or tea almost daily, myself. Just pointing out that something that you perceive as "pleasurable" does not automatically make it a good idea.)

    If I get health problems in the future, so be it, I enjoy Coke a lot more then water, so it is worth it.

    I used to think like you. Having to stick about a year's salary into getting my teeth fixed encouraged me to think differently.

    Where I live (Sweden), canned water is very common--you can get it in most if not all grocery and convenience stores, cafés, the break room in our office, etc.

    Or you could, you know, recycle the plastic bottles. It's not that hard to do. Especially if your country no longer uses landfills.

    Ask any dentist what the best way is to destroy your teeth, short of hitting yourself in the mouth with a hammer.

    Hint: it features a combination of sugar and carbonation. The caramel colouring also contributes to a win.

    I've stayed in plenty of hotels in various countries in Asia and Eastern Europe where there are signs next to the taps advising you not to drink the water from them, and to drink instead the bottled water that's provided gratis.

    That doesn't alter the fact that every 2nd or 3rd article on globalresearch.com is a pro-Putin puff piece and/or one proclaiming that everything bad in the world is the fault of the US.

    globalresearch.com offers nothing of value that can't be derived from other sources and/or having a brain, and the only purpose I can see for its existence is to try to discredit the remnants of the US Left by mixing truth with generous dollops of blind hatred for the US and unqualified admiration for Putin. Anyone who cites it as as though it were a reputable source is either trolling or being trolled.

    The what? Yanukovych campaigned on a promise not to sell the country out to Putin, then promptly turned around and started to sell the country out to Putin. The people who'd voted for him quite understandably raised hell about this, and he fled the country for (surprise, surprise) Russia, leaving behind an estate and mansion worth at least 100 million US dollars, which he somehow had been able to afford on a 2,000-dollar-per-month salary.

    I read that as, "What I'm saying is that [Jones' actions were] not particularly egregious and [it was] super fucking petty of Pokemon Int'l to sue for something so piddly".

    But of course it'd be better if people would take the time and effort to ensure that their words accurately reflect what they're trying to say.

    I spend a good portion of my work day using the command line and I make a pretty fair living at it. Just as I've been doing for 10+ years. In the last 3 years, my team has doubled in size and yet there's still plenty of work to keep me busy.

    Of course, the future is never certain, but I'd say my chances of keeping this job until I retire (if I want) are at least 50/50. And despite the fact that I've not actually looked for a job in over a decade, I get 1-2 offers a month.

    So maybe you should consider learning something. There are plenty of folks willing to pay you for it. They'll be even more willing to do so once you lose the attitude.

    My read on it is more like this:

    1. Make it incredibly easy for just about anyone to obtain a gun.

    2. This makes it very likely that at least some of these people will be crazy.

    3. Wait for crazy people to do what crazy people do--but with a gun.
