Oh the fun coordinating the networking as everyone had to intiate at the same time with exactly the same specified number of players. Four floppys of gold they were, the University's 486's never worked so hard, I'm just glad I was there.

  3. Kiwi hardware on Inside PRISM: Why the Government Hates Encryption · · Score: 1

Sadly for New Zealander's a local company has been supplying the NSA hardware to do the capturing for at least the last ten years. A friend who coded for www.endace.com told me ten years ago that they were supplying the US with gear to capture OC192 at full steam, from memory it was the storage sub-systems that were the issue (i.e. the fibre cards produced a 'lot' of data). The cards could be spliced into a network without modifying timestamps etc hence invisible to either end. A not well known irony of this situation for Kiwi's is that Endace products were born from Waikato University research (Waikato Uni is well known for its socialist/leftist inclinations).

  4. Incoming cruise missile in 3,2,1..... on Iran Wants To Clone Downed US Drone · · Score: 1

During the Balkan war an American F-117 stealth fighter was shot down and the parts promptly brokered to the Chinese. The Chinese stored the remaining high tech bits in their embassy in Belgrade. By some amazing coincidence a cruise missile was wrongly targeted and entered the lower floors of the Chinese embassy destroying half the building. I would be very nervous right now if I was sitting in a lab in Iran dissecting this drone.

Hate to "me too" but Oblivion's breadth and beauty has my number one vote, unfortunately I ruined the game by discovering the cheat codes.
