That is a fantastic idea, that way when I am out late at night "working" I can find out how much money my "clients" have before I waylay them!

  2. Military Strike ROFL on A $200-Million Floating Nuclear Plant? · · Score: 1

Feel free to mod this troll but I just find it funny that it is "better" to be able to power troop deployments for an invasion of a foreign country then to have it about in the event of a natural disaster at home. Perhaps we leave "enemy" (depends on your politics doesn't it?) countries alone for a little while eh? Enough of the war mongering...

  3. Re:Ultra-capacitors for a different type of hybrid on 500 Miles on a 5-Minute Recharge? · · Score: 1

I'm not going to dispute the overall energy noted by the parent poster but I think you will find that the demand will be spread throught the day. No one will be drawing power from the grid at the same level that they are charging the car. I imagine that each station would have it's own huge bank of capacitors and draw a constant, steady current from the grid. This would probably even have a weighting toward night time charging. This would enable heavier running of power stations at night to cover increased demand in the short term.

I wish I could agree but time and again Graphics tests have shown us that at the very high end you are only limited by CPU and your GPU's just are not working as hard as they could. I think as soon as we see benchmarks on this configuration that will become obvious. That being the case the Intel CPU is going to restrict the graphics more then an AMD one would at the moment... Of course I want to play half life in 1600x1200@150fps 32xaa 16xaf

  6. Napster? on A Workable Downloadable Movies Business Model? · · Score: 1

Aren't movies a candidate for a more napster like approach? Given that a lot of movies will only get watched once and that people tend to get hard copy of their favourites.
