If this year was 2000 then I would agree with you. PHP has quite a few MVC frameworks that have been around for some time and are fairly extensively used in enterprise environments. If you know any developers embedding their PHP in the HTML in large apps please ask them to stop.

Here is a small example of a few MVCs out there.

    Symfony - http://www.symfony-project.com/
    Zend Framework - http://framework.zend.com/

Actually, heroinware games can only be played by the former Heroinsheek models of the late 90's. Check the license the next time you play these games.

No, I'm just joking about the models...

The truth is "Heroin" must be applied to at least one major headline every five years or so and that they are actually using the Carnivore system to monitor if "Heroin" is being used enough in modern conversations.

While this quote may be overly simplistic...

"I never let my education get in the way of my learning." -Mark Twain

    It's very true.

I slept through years of high school because I was actually learning more when I wasn't in school. (Computers, real world training, etc.) This wasn't due to the teachers; it was due to the mundane/redundant subjects they were teaching. While I had a total of 5 life science classes (from grade 1-11), I only received 2 computer courses (the higest language I learned was Pascal, and this was in the late 90's) I wish they had more computer classes... hell, just a larger variety of classes.

If the schools wish to give you a wide education then they should actually do that and not be so damned redundant.

BTW: I could have used a little more time in spelling class :)

    This sounds very possible.

Wasn't it just last week that we found out that the BSA is doing a rather similar campaign?

I wonder if more artists will start boycotting their record company when pratices like this become more mainstream (ie: in the US). Hummm, now if we could get all artists to start using the web as a medium (example: emusic).

Now if they could make some real games for the system. Mario and Zelda shoudn't be the only reason to buy a console. (Oh yea, forgot Mario Paint)

So yes, if a bullies and punks have their civil liberties violated, the ACLU will back them up.

  7. Re:Linux games w/ emulation? on Loki And BSDi Team Up For BSD Games · · Score: 2
I don't know if BSDi can run the games, but I've had experience with running QuakeIII on FreeBSD. Once it is installed, it runs great, but getting it installed is the problem. QuakeIII's install script is very Linux centric and does not run under FreeBSD. I ended up having to download a perl script*, chop off the shell code, and then unpack the archive. Then I had to mod the unpacked install script (I hardcoded the library location part). After that it installed an ran just fine.

This new deal sounds great... saves me a bunch of troubles (hopefully).
