It sucks that this comment is only allowed to go to +5. I think it should be a "sticky" post at the top of basically every Slashdot story that mentions India.
Is there such a thing as "compatibility" with fiber? I mean, I know that optic fiber's frequency-transmission characteristics aren't perfectly flat, which probably yields more or less signal attenuation, but it's not like photons come in different 'formats'.
Way to go, FBI. We're already trying our best to fight the Chinese government's dragging their heels on environmental reform. Now we want them to do it without stealing any green technologies?
Another pretty common protocol in conversing with humans, is the concept of "charitable interpretation". When people use language incorrectly, but the nature of the misuse makes their intent obvious, people equipped with this concept can shortcut the whole pedantic conversation.
It's like when you receive a data packet containing a 1-bit parity error: you could squawk about the error and demand that the remote host retransmit, you could start a whole discussion about what leads people to transmit bad data in general, or you could just flip the bit back to its original value, shut the fuck up, and resume the data stream.
Is doing this likely to compromise stealth in any way? I can't imagine there are that many natural phenomena with elemental hydrogen bubbling up from the sea floor..
Yes, and you could give out registration codes for free on your website. Registration codes are no more or less than a technological measure to give the distributor control over who can use the product.

a stylus pda.
As mentioned in TFS, salt's high capacity for heat makes its output/time curve significantly smoother.

Hah, remember analog Laserdiscs?

You useless doper, it's over there on the hash table, next to the vaporware!
y tho?

I don't know what is wrong with the mods today. Troll? for a SimCity joke?
I think I must be lost, can you tell me where I might find a tech nerd forum?
Presumably much higher uranium concentrations than what naturally occurs in the area's groundwater - since, apparently, baking soda leaches it.
Okay, by "indiscriminate" I really meant "discriminating on a basis unrelated to product value."
since you can electrolyze water for oxygen

(er, I missed the 'carriers' bit. I imagine it's only subs which have any oxygen concerns.)
Nothing else packs even close to the same fuel density (think joules per kilogram).
I'm sure the lack of need for an oxygen supply for combustion doesn't hurt either.
I can't imagine investing in a national nuclear infrastructure without also overhauling the distribution grid.
goodbye, PDF->payload
hello PDF->chroot breaker code->payload
Attention to detail is what makes a good troll really pop.
Keep plying your art, my fine friend.
There are others, who respond to the same stress by spending indiscriminately. And their reaction might, on the economic whole, outweigh yours.
I'm confused, mods. I thought I was posting to Slashdot.
Faulty reasoning is faulty.
The question is, if you have no idea what Windows is, then why did you choose it?
See how everything's different when you switch the question around?
Maybe you just suck at installing. I have it running perfectly quick and responsive on an original 1997 Pentium II.
Anyone expecting their 20-year-old legacy system to run on a modern OS is insane.

You're welcome ;)
