Even so they take the stance of Anti-China, they do lie and bend the truth themselves. Whilst the article isn't really anti-anything, the paper has a record of having articles like "1 million Chinese leaving the communist party every day!" and their pro-Falun Gong support is a joke. Just hang around Sydney China Town and the Chinese embassy for a while and you will see the methods they resort too. From vigils to graphic media. I don't believe them, and I don't believe Government either.

I tracked the paper for over a year whilst working on a documentary and noticed a large range of information which was just either plucked out of thin air so that westerners get the reinforced view of China as this big, bad, communist polluting country with little regard for human rights. They release propaganda to ingrain the ironic "peoples" vote for anti-China.

I was so perplexed by the lies told by both the paper and China that I decided to move to China to find out for myself. Now I have discontinued the research. Why? Because China is changing so fast that if I ever get some sort of documentary film made, it would be an historical event. Needless to say, some things didn't happen, but they happened a long time ago, and thats history.

My final view, Epoch times is a joke, but thats not to say this article isn't smelling of shit.

  12. Similarities with China's schooling on Indian College Students Face Bleak Prospects · · Score: 0

Reading through the comments, I get the feel that India is not alone. China is churning out students every day. Although the problem isn't quite as bad as India through the 10% growth rate, the schooling remains the same. Students are not taught to think. They will ask a question, and receive an answer.

This problem is truly evident in some juniors I had on board. He was ask me hundreds of questions about 'why wont this work' and I would I would say 'the problem is here, look..' and he'd go 'ahh'. He never 'asked' how to fix it, he just didn't use the initiative to find out why it didn't work, because he has been asking questions and receiving answers.

Now when he asks a question, I ask him to tell me 3 times what he did to try and find out the solution. If he cannot, then I cannot give him an answer. It is working well :-)

  13. ARC on Apple Begins Fixing MacBook Pro Issues · · Score: 0

Out of my offices 25 iMac's, 15 have gone in for repair, 5 of them twice, all for 2 weeks, except 1 for 2 months! Dead logic board, power CPU's dying. I dont care about apple warranty, but the down time equates to more than their price.

One even died 1 month after the warranty finished. The logic board was $1000 or something. I'll never buy mac again on mid-range products. It's only worth it if you spent $6000 on a proper workstation.... then you better get revision Z.

Unless you need to run an app which is apple only, my advice is seriously don't bother.

The macbook seems ok, and I hope it changes my mind about them. But for now, I've been lied to enough by Apple over the years, to realise they're great for browsing the web, and reading email.
