I can remember playing Doom and Doom2 on my HP Vectra XP60 running NeXTSTEP. It became very popular in the office after (and during) office hours.
It's what got me into the genre and ultimately to write Only Mortal for the Mac to get Quake3 servers with qstat.
I can think of a Gatso camera that takes photos of your rear licence plate (license tag to our American friends). It's just north of Bristol in Coalpit Heath.
The API for mac drivers is quite different from Linux so it's not just a simple recompile and test. Not that you said that's all it has to be of course!
Stealing from a known Android (Kryten) from Red Dwarf:
"It's the old, old story - droid meets droid, droid becomes chameleon, droid loses chameleon, chameleon turns into blob, droid gets blob back again. Blob meets blob, blob goes off with blob and droid loses blob, chameleon and droid. How many times have we seen that story?"
"It's basically like me hitting you with a brick, then saying give me a dollar because you got hit with a brick".

Was thinking of the Four Yorkshiremen sketch
I'd be more worried about the Triffids.

So that's where they've been hidden all this time ;-)
