    We had a chance to turn this around in the 70s, but blew it because climate change is a myth.

    No, in the 70s the problem was global cooling and the coming ice age.

    If we acted in the 70s we would have focused our collective energies on solving the "global cooling crisis", not the intermediate "global warming crisis" or the current catch-all "Climate Change Crisis".

    The problem with 'settled, indisputable, scientific facts' about the climate is they keep evolving.

    So the current measurement ties the previous record low, back in 2007, some nine years ago... which implies that the "Arctic Sea Ice" then increased after 2007, only dropping to it's previous low after nine years.

    In other words, the amount of arctic sea ice varies, and is not in a continuous decline, which begs the question "Why did Arctic Sea Ice increase after 2007?".

    What's your point? That after 20 years of sustained growth and expansion the people that live on the edges of vast swaths of wilderness (Central Africa, The Amazon) are slowly eroding that wilderness?

    What are they supposed to do, live in poverty, stop growing their civilizations on the edges of, say, the Amazon, because all the developed nations used up their wilderness growing their countries? We got ours, now you need to stop?

    I suspect there is still plenty of wilderness - for example, The United States government owns 47 percent of all land in the West. (That's about 1/4th of our country that is, essentially, wilderness.)

    If the poor have internet access, and internet access does translate into free speech, then the poor get a voice.

    Right. "free speech" trumps clean water and air, healthy food, and a place to live.

    Seriously? Have you ever been homeless or hungry? Did you find your ability to keep up on facebook more important than either of those?

    If all you want to do is make big profits, by definition you do not want to limit those profits by declining sales to politically unpopular groups.

    Rolling out expensive infrastructure to customers that can not afford to pay for the service that funds the infrastructure is NOT the path to "Big Profits" - corporations decide where to roll out infrastructure by the profit potential, not political affiliation.

    What we really need in this country are 4-year community colleges that are really focused on delivering value.

    We have them, they are called state colleges and universities... oh wait, you said "focused on delivering value" - nevermind. They are currently designed to make their students feel OK about not getting accepted into a four year college or university.

    Last year, ITT Tech received an estimated $580 million in federal money (aka taxpayer dollars), according to the Department of Education.

    In the form of federal grants? GI Bill Tuition payments? Or, the most likely form, as federally guaranteed student loans - which aren't really "taxpayer dollars" until the student fails to pay their loan payments.

    Right, that's what kept people from applying to their local community college...

    If the feds could arrange to move the the $580 billion to the community colleges to fund more technical programs, they might find they get value for money.

    Don't confuse federal loan guarantees with actual money - that $580 Million (not Billion) is owed by the students to the lenders, not as grants from the federal government. In order for the local community colleges to get the $580 Million that previously went to ITT Tech the local community colleges would have to raise tuition to the level charged by ITT Tech.

    It's particularly common for this to happen to black suspects

    Except, you know, he's white, he had a warrant or two out for his arrest, including one for drug possession.

    I guess it was just important to you to inject you political views into the discussion, no matter how irrelevant they are...

    Tell me about *your* candidate. What has she actually done? No projection or words, what has she actually done that you can point to with pride and say "my candidate did *this*!!!"

    Well, she hasn't had a chance to do anything - Why, she was only First Lady of the United States for 8 years, A US Senator for another 8 years, then Secretary of State for 4 years... How is she supposed to have effected any change in the world?

    (For those that want to push back on her time as First Lady, I direct your attention to her "two for one" claim when Bill was campaigning AND her (failed) attempt to revamp the US Healthcare system, AKA Hillarycare.

    Romney - On 31 separate accounts during his campaign he said "The first thing I'll do when I get into office is...". And frankly, it was never the same thing twice.

    Here's a list of Obama's "Top Priorities" from 2010 - just two short years into his Presidency - a current list would be quite longer...

    Lots of presidents should have been in jail, why weren't they? Seriously, she's doing nothing worse or better than any of the presidents in my lifetime.

    Except, of course, she isn't actually President, just a candidate for the office...

    It's heart-warming to know that she summoned the strength to attend briefings and meetings when she knew that as soon as she walked out the door she'd have no recollection of what was discussed... Apparently, the smartest, best prepared candidate for President never opted to take notes when she, as secretary of state, attended high-level meetings regarding the handling and disposition of national secrets/secure documents.

    Unless, of course, she simply claims not to remember to help her avoid contradicting or incriminating herself under penalty of perjury...

    Let me add this:

    Two years later, it was revealed that potentially 22 million emails were deleted. - The "deleted" emails were recovered - nearly all 22 million of them. (Though on an obscure NZ website, the story is a Reuters story.)

    In 2007, when Congress asked the Bush administration for emails surrounding the firing of eights U.S. attorneys, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales revealed that many of the emails requested could not be produced because they were sent on a non-government email server. The officials had used the private domain gwb43.com, a server run by the Republican National Committee. Two years later, it was revealed that potentially 22 million emails were deleted.

    Where to start?

    OK, how about we start with the firing of eights U.S. attorneys? - They were political appointees, and they served at the pleasure of the President.

    Now, what about many of the emails requested could not be produced because they were sent on a non-government email server? They were discussing political appointees on a private server explicitly created to ensure that political business was kept off government servers, AKA to comply with federal law, not to avoid it. (Do Democrats conduct Democrat party business on government servers? No, to do so would be a crime,)

    And finally, what about Two years later, it was revealed that potentially 22 million emails were deleted And then, a few months later all the "missing" emails were found with the help of federal investigators, experts from Microsoft, and the Republican party - all 22 million of them.

    Not really the same thing, not really a problem - but hey, it helps the low-information Democrat voters feel good about their criminal politicians. Here's a link that might help you.

    100% of the people who clicked on them don't use Linux.

    I believe that, because the percentage of actual Linux desktop users represents a rounding error in most surveys. Last I looked, Windows ME was still more popular/prevalent as a desktop OS than Linux.
