Who would have thought that a company like Sony is having such difficulties. It is shocking and sad to know that Sony is going to post a "Loss" for the year. On the other hand, from the point of view of the consumer... I would think this is a good thing since this will result in better products and competitive pricing.
You dont need an Emulator to see if your Win XP applications work on Win 98. Just right click on application and go to properties and set compatibility to "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 98". That should do it.
Honestly, whatever Firefox had was hardly a honey-moon. The number of people using firefox is insignificant when compared to those using IE. And, it will always be.
Actually, this is not true. You can very well get a printer for a lower price than an ink cartridge. But, the printer will not come with a cartridge.
Most of the times, printer companies sell their printers at a loss. But, they make huge profits from their cartridge sales. It depends on their marketing strategy.
So, when you are buying a printer, it would be a good thing to pay a little more for the printer whose ink costs less instead of buying a cheap printer whose ink costs a lot more because buying a printer is just a one time thing. But, you'll be buying cartridges for a long time.
It is sheer ignorance to say you should be happy with the two step process of "burning to CD and ripping it". It is just not right. If I paid a buck for the song, I should be able to do anything with it easily.
Also, FYI, If I buy a song from Yahoo Music Unlimited, I get the song without any DRM and in wma format. I can do anything with it.
The advent of Firefox and other alternatives to Internet Explorer means cybercops have to learn new tricks for their investigations.
Well, if we never had internet, we would have never had the need for Cybercops. It doesnt mean we have to destroy the internet. It means we need to train Cops to become Cybercops.
would represent a big boost for open source software such as Open Office, which is created by volunteer programmers and made available free of charge..
How so?? Are they gonna get paid? Are they gonna get laid? Honestly, why should something which requires so many man hours from so many people from around the world be available free of charge when nothing else in this world is free. What do the volunteer programmers get out of spending so many hours with their PC coding OSS when they can be out at the gym working out or dating someone? The only thing that I can think of is that it'll help them get better jobs. But, honestly, if you really have what it takes, then you do not need an OSS on your resume to get a good job.
Why would I want my IE to become Firefox? I like it the way it is. I use Internet Explorer and Opera for my internet needs. I tried Firefox once and I thought it sucked.
Hope this helps.
PS: Bring it on Firefox fanboys.

Actually, this information is incorrect. I just figured out that the .wma files are infact protected. :(
Yahoo Music Unlimited! When you purchase songs from Yahoo Music, you get them as .wma files with no DRM restrictions. (Atleast as far as I know).

That is all.
Why is any comment which speaks bad of Firefox modded as troll and any comment that speaks bad of Microsoft modded "Informative" ??
I've downloaded Firefox thrice at three different places. But, I dont use it. Hope this helps.
