It has a keyboard, as you well know, it's a software keyboard. Your misrepresentation doesn't exactly buy you any credence if you're trying to make a point.
Draconian? Really? I own many Apple products and I am rarely stopped from doing anything. Perhaps your hatred of Apple has colored your post to the point that it's ridiculous hyperbole?
Riiight. . . cuz that's what he was getting at, legally running a trojan. My god I do wish you were smart enough to get the point he was trying to make about CS4. That he doesn't want crap phoning home from his machine. ANY crap!!
What it amounts to is the most fortuitous dorm assignment in the history of the world, that's all. The guy is an idiot. That being said, may he stay CEO as long as possible, I'm enjoying watching Microsoft take on water. . . .
I know Xbox will be mentioned, but maybe we should redefine your question as killer apps/technologies that are making a profit. Last I heard Xbox was still losing money.
First I'll just come out and say you're full of shit in general. Second I'll get to the specifics, where is this virus for the Mac that you're hinting at? I'll wait why you start trying to come up with something . . . . .
"The false sense of security that surrounds Apple is far more dangerous then the open nature of Android or the Android marketplace."
- You're compaing the sense of security on one platform with the open nature of another platform? Apples and oranges comparison. You're so full of hot air it's just a question of which orifice the hot air is emanating from. Both platforms are imperfect, but somehow your holy grail of "open-ness" is the one allowing malware right now. So quit pontificating when the current issue squarely points out that you are wrong.
Since your insinuation that the iPhone doesn't support multitasking (it does!) then I don't think we should put much stock in what you're interested in.
Really? You heard people talking about the iPhone before it was released and how they couldn't wait to get one?
I think you'd doing an apples to oranges comparison on this and you only heard it after the iPhone was announced and was known to the general public. Add to that the fact that most people have cell phones they carry with them everywhere and their friends see them and get to try them. That would tend to generate more desire than an unannounced, non-existent product that the general public hasn't even heard of yet, don't you think?
1.) Quickly catching up is just another way of saying "hasn't caught up" 2.) Unsubstantiated hype is everywhere on this, but I've read many speculations saying the price will be much lower than what you say. That aside, if netbooks were actually filling this niche then no, the tablet won't catch on. I honestly doubt that netbooks are filling this niche so we'll have to see how it pans out. 3.) Kindle/Nook/Sony eReader don't seem to be blowing everyone's mind with their record sales. It won't take much to blow them out of the water.
Seriously man, why bother trying to educate the hopeless. As a Mac and iPhone user I completely understand your point and wonder how the haters can be so blind, but you can't teach them to see. If he wants to remain blind then let him be blind. In the meantime we'll enjoy our well made, enjoyable to use, innovative Apple products and mirror the others who have made Apple number one in customer satisfaction in the market. You'd think that is a metric that even a hate-tard could make sense of, but they like to ignore those easy to understand facts.
Apple has NO debt, tons of CASH. Are you telling me Nokia is going to sell their fabrication plant to fight with Apple? Try and keep your argument relevant to the topic, ok?
A quiet revolution? In what world are you living? Is this revolution so quiet because it's actually not happening at all?
The Android marketplace is already undergoing fragmentation for App stores, which makes it harder for developers to distribute apps, which makes it harder for customers to find apps. The software is never fine tuned to a piece of hardware, so it never fits perfectly, it's always an adaptation to the phone, an adaptation which degrades the user experience.
I don't have a problem with Google, I happen to like them for the most part, but I think your evaluation of Android is more wishful thinking than reality at this point.
You're an idiot. All his points were valid and your rebuttals made no sense since they all consisted of straw man arguments. If you don't want to use PHP then fine, but STFU with your inaccurate and disingenuous rebuttals.
Except many of your points are complete bullshit. She DIDN'T leave her laptop unattended, so there was no justification in shooting it. Stickers, picture, etc. are no justification. The laptop was not suspicious nor was it a possible threat, they shot it (they didn't blow it up, duh!) because they were assholes and they could get away with it when they found someone who might have had an opinion (peaceably expressed) they didn't like. Your attempt to justify this in some way is pathetic.
Nice theory. On a related note I hear the Flat Earth Society is looking for new members. You may want to apply and supply them with a copy of your last post. Something tells me they will fast-track your membership application.
Well, I looked at your graph. First, I do see global cooling during that period. Second, your qualifier "in any meaningful way" is a bullshit way to sidestep the issue in the hope that it will somehow silence a critic. Third, saying the 2000's are still going to be the warmest decade on record is an unknowable statement so, again, it's complete bullshit.
In response to your statement about climate models not failing to predict it because "they don't even attempt to predict it", that is bullshit as well. The whole existence of the climate model is to predict the future climate and so your first sentence in this paragraph is so ridiculously incorrect it boggles the mind. The statement, "Climate models don't try to account for natural variability because they can't" also leads me to wonder if you have really thought your argument through. If climate models can not account for natural variability then how could we possibly use them as a tool? If you don't know what natural variability is then how can you discern what un-natural variability would be? The next incorrect point in your argument is the fact that you saty that climate models can't predict the solar minimum we're having, when climate "scientists" repeatedly say that the solar minimum has been factored into their climate models and thus solar minimums should not be used as a point to dispute their findings. And, finally, your attempt to turn the 2000's into "weather" to disqualify it from contention is ridiculous. All your stats refer to climate and any dissenters points only refer to weather, is that how it works?
Sorry, but your whole post is riddled with the standard fare of climate cultism. Climate science seems less about science and more about clever debating techniques to try and disqualify anyone else's arguments.
It has a keyboard, as you well know, it's a software keyboard. Your misrepresentation doesn't exactly buy you any credence if you're trying to make a point.
The iPhone is proprietary? Is that really your argument? Isn't EVERY device manufactured proprietary then? You idiot, try and think before you post.
Draconian? Really? I own many Apple products and I am rarely stopped from doing anything. Perhaps your hatred of Apple has colored your post to the point that it's ridiculous hyperbole?

I would say this reveals a lot about you, but at the same time it shows there's not much to reveal. . .

If you honestly believe that Apple didn't change any habits regarding listening to music then you are a fool.

Shut up already citation whiner. A citation isn't needed, it's WANTED.
Apple has NO debt, tons of CASH. Are you telling me Nokia is going to sell their fabrication plant to fight with Apple? Try and keep your argument relevant to the topic, ok?
It's also good to see that one other person got his joke. Apparently none of the others who replied understood it.

Welcome to the post 9/11 dumbing down of the word Hero. It literally has no meaning anymore because EVERYONE is a hero.
Actually a LOT of people want this information, just not the people in the administration that seemed to break the law almost daily.

You seems to conveniently forget that none of the things you mentioned justifies what they did.
