    thanks for the translation since it is yet another indication that most
    european languages have linguistic similarities since ... 'goesting' is a state
    of mind where you want to pursue something that pleases you

    it also makes me very happy since i do think, given enough time most europeans can
    translate other foreign european texts, not completely offcorse but enough
    to understand it.

    Thank god all our languages are phonetic

    these are known italian phrases, the reason i asked was because i've only
    seen the word
    gusta
    in italian
    i wonder tho if the word gusta has anything to do with desire/urge/'ready to do a specified act'.
    because the word goesting was voted the most popular flemish word last year
    ... flemish is a dutch dialect spoken in north-belgium btw

    yeah i kinda hate it

    because i'm belgian and i really suck at french
    it goes so far that i often translate dutch 'spreekwoorden' to french
    nice way how to not get a job is showing off your french skills with phrases like this:
    toujours je m'assieds avec mes mains dans mes cheveux
    seriously it's becoming embarrassing
    and be able to speak, read, write french, dutch, english here is not really an advantage
    it's a requirement!

    it's gonna come to the point where iceskating, icehockey, skiing, snowboarding and all
    the other arctic activities will become an expensive synthetic exotic rarity
    not only that you'll have to tell your children and grandchildren stories about
    simple things like snow, ice, winter, different kinds of birds, butterflies, ...
    heck most small kids today haven't seen a pig in real-life
    some of them don't even know what it is nor know what it sounds like
    not kidding here, i'm talking about 1 grade junior kids ~ 6-7 years old
    it's these small things that you'll grow to miss one day.

    If it is an electrolytic capacitor, you just have to look at it. Electrolytic caps are typically the little can-like components with two legs


    we used to call those "ELCO's"

    how does one know if the caps are bad?

    is there something like captest86 or something
    because if i try to find out bad hardware i first download the mainboard's manual
    and see if the problems are apm/acpi related, since a lot of old mb's are incompatible and/or have issues with power management

    although they tend to advertise themselfs as 100% compatible.
    After that i use memtest86 for like 15 mins, because that would
    find +90% of the memory problems and running it longer just seems a waste of time
    Then i would go to the next step, utilizing the process of elimination to find out if the problem is related to another device like pci/agp cards ....
    if i can't find the problem after that
    i suspect it's the mainboard but how can one know if it's a capacitator, resistor, transistor, the PSU, ...

    can someone enlighten me ...
    and can a hobbyist perform these tests and or add replacements
    i have soldering experience, i can attach a new C, ...
    if the affected area is not too small for a merely man's accuracy offcorse

    somebody in ##slackware on freenode
    once recommended me to try using the slang API
    instead of (n)curses based on the fact that he bought a ncurses book
    and it sucked monkeyballs and programming ncurses is not really intuitive
    some of the other fine folk who regularly sit idle in that channel
    also said that if it could be done in a Shell script
    you could try using shell and dialog which is a ncurses based program btw
    this could obviously be a biased opinion from slackers since the pkgtools in slackware http://www.slackware.com/ are written this way
    and they have served us fine for many years
    and will continue to serve us happily for many more years to come.

    yeah i bothered and i've already read it but only after posting this quick-and-stupid reply
    heck i even replyed to myself very quickly to say i was stupid for not even looking at the
    titlebar on the screen but apparently either /. didn't get that reply or my
    internet is going berserk on me again

    then again i tried the client and it seems to be very unstable and slow on torrents with a low nr of seeders and leechers.
    i also tried BitThief like somebody else suggested but that one was even worse.
    it looks like and acts like a nice console app when started from cli
    but once you get to the gui, if you can even call it that, it crashes when you simply
    want to select a torrent, which kinda renders it useless to me

    Do i get it right when i think this implies ligthspeed is not a constant but is decreasing over time?
    We tend to falsely call it a constant because in the young lifespan of our civilisation the fluctuation is so small we can't even measure the difference?

    Does this imply the older and larger the universe gets ... the smaller the speed of light will be
    and can this mean that some being (we, aliens, ...) eventually
    can't even take a stroll to the market because they would dissolve
    in pure energy or would the universe would then be so big ... it would be cold and death?
    can someone please elaborate

    i think some people just race to get the first exploit for vista out of the door
    like the warez groups try to get their warez out as soon as possible
    it's also a fame game

    it must give a real adrenaline rush when your exploit would be the first
