+1 What incompetent fuck uses google for this. I am reminded of the time our finance department tried to screw people out of mileage when they would use google maps to calculate the distance between point A and point B. Legal had to explain to them that google maps is not a certified resource.
I saw some idiot claim that people just do not understand probability theory and state that in effect 00000000 is just as secure as 737474757. I would call him ignorant of hacking. What does one start with when cracking password protected systems? . . . a dictionary of common crap people use, like "000000000", "1111111111", "101010101010", "007007007007".
Really. what has Linus done to lead anyone to believe he has anything worth while to say about a GUI. Kernel design, sure. But GUI? Really slashdot? Really?
I'd have to agree. When was the last time anyone identified a wood screw by looking at the head? Its the threads stupid, not the head that makes a wood screw.
You know, its hard to find someone more noobish than your own parents. After years of dealing with my father's installation of windows, I finally said enough is enough and installed Linux. Poof, questions went away.
One windows I could do a clean install for him and within 1 week it would be so screwed up that he was lucky to be able to log on. With Linux, I installed it, and the extra crap for handling different media. The same installation has been running for years now, with out anything more difficult than "I can't remember my password".
The review was written by someone obviously lacking in general human-computer design and virtually no concept of human factors. In short, it was written by a communications major.
And remember: America works less when you say union, yes.
So many people trying to get out of their own mess by taking assets away from someone who made better choices. No wonder tax and spend liberals are pro union. Its the same mindset.

Contests like this bring out the intellectually challenged of our society.
