I sincerely hope you don't have a science-based degree, because if you do, you apparently learned nothing. When you throw a bowling ball it DOES impart a force in the opposite. Case in point - My niece who pushed a bowling ball down the lane, and then promptly fell backwards onto her butt.

Actually, yes I do, and physics was one of my favourite subjects. Your niece isn't the best example. When she's older she'll be able to counter-balance and use the friction between her shoes and the floor to offset the "recoil" from throwing something heavy, like the rest of us do.

Even if there was an opposite force on his own body, Psylar wouldn't have to fall over. Especially if he is applying a slight upward force to his enemy, it would just make his own grip on the floor stronger. And what's to stop him from applying an equal force in the opposite direction, ie bracing himself against a wall?

But yes, it's just a TV show, and telekinesis is pure fantasy.

It seems we both managed to show some trust and respect today anyway (as my flatmate would say "that's some motherfucking [emotional] growing right there", if you'll excuse the profanity xD ), and hopefully my attempts at being nice before were part of what brought on this "change" today. I learned myself the hard way that you obviously can't trust everyone, but I still try to trust people until they give me a reason not to. It sucks having to worry if you can trust someone or not, so better to just trust others and hope they will return the favour.

I'm sorry I had to get so riled up and that you didn't notice that last troll post here until after we had made our truce. You know how it is when you think someone is going to be trolling you non-stop. You need to stand up for yourself sometimes (ignoring it was an option too, but I'm glad we learned to respect each other instead of just hating).

Some people are indeed just sick assholes who enjoy watching other people get frustrated, and no matter what you do they will keep trolling. I didn't even win the best game of that month ;) but I think it was pretty good considering I made it between the ages of 12 and 13. I did actually find the game on a website that had online versions of old Amiga Format disks, and I played it on an emulator a couple of years ago, it's still good fun :) I don't remember what issue number it was, page, whatever, though I still have that issue in a cupboard somewhere at my mum's house.

I was quite proud of it at the time, but I know I have done better things since then. For example I wrote some bots (called TEAMbot) to play against in Counter-Strike (the Half-Life 1 version of Counter-Strike, not Counter-Strike Source) around when I was 16. The site for them was still hosted up at Planet Half Life last year, looks like it's finally gone now. Looks like the version 1.2 Beta is still available on fileplanet and in other places though, and if you do ever feel like playing older versions of CS and need some bots to play against, I recommend them. The 1.2 version did have some memory leaks unfortunately, I didn't upload the fixed version because I was at university by that time and didn't have net access from my PC. Anyway, the bots are the personal project that I am most proud of, and in fact they took a lot more thinking than most of the programming I have done here at work lol.
