If you used Lotus Notes you could do that today. It is easy to setup and it works.
Lotus/Domino is the top of the heap when it comes to mail calender integration.
I doubt even the Koreans care about the $32 Million. Microsoft sure as hell doesn't and has proven it by paying off everyone that even looks like they might have a case against them.
This is a lesson to Microsoft, a lesson in control. What the Koreans are teaching them is the same lesson that the EU started. "You will comply with our laws and how we judge you or we will make you do things that you don't want to do in order to continue doing business here."
I believe that South Korea won't be the last country to impose this sort of lesson on Microsoft if for no other reason than they can make themselves more important to a company that has ignored the intent (if not the letter) of their laws.
The best that Microsoft can do to really make amends is to bend over and shout "Thank you Sir, May I have another?".
Once the beating is over its back to the normal corruption and graft.
I've worked as an admin on both Windows and Linux (specifically SuSE) I don't understand why these experienced Linux admins didn't just say this is not acceptable for the stability of the system.
Disclaimer: I have never worked worked for someone (in an ecommerce setting) that didn't understand a simple statement like that. Especially when it could be easily translated by even the most moronic boss into "You are demanding that we do something stupid here and if we do it and the system fails then I will explain EXACTLY why.
It just seems wrong to me that the admins would do something dumb to their system even if it is for just a study.
Google doesn't need or want to do an OS.
The OS of the the future is a BYO (Bring You Own) party where any OS with a connection to the web will be able to access the services offered by google. Perhaps some OS's and or browsers will access these services better than others.
For Google to do an OS would imply that they care about something other than their area of expertise. I suspect that this would only happen if Gates and Ballmer continue to piss them off.
Is I read this I couldn't help but think...

One of the top ten methods of disinformation is to attack the messanger or the messangers credintials without reguard to the facts at hand.
When I see goverments concerned with carrying pencils in airplanes is one thing. When I see them concerned with migratory birds passing a deadly virus, it's another.
FUD without supporting evidence is also high on the list of disinformation tactics.
Emotional agrguments with no facts are also just so many more bits that we should flush without further consideration.
Can you comprehend the difference or should we draw a picture? Hint: ulterior motive. What would be the motive for spreading panic all over the world? This case is quite different from the terrorist hype.
Personally, I don't have any trouble comming up with possibilities or probabilities why "The Government" would be willing to further incite fear and extend control using any pretext at their disposal.
Three primary disinformation tactics in a single message perhaps you should apply for a job at the Whitehouse, I believe that you would fit in well.

How many dinosaurs you have to compress and heat to get a gallon of crude oil?
BTW, There does seem to be other research that makes the theory of fossil fuels seem as far fetched as "Intelligent Design".
I wish he say what he really means.
