  1. Naming Convention on Suitable Naming Conventions For Workstations? · · Score: 0

RoomInBuildingPCx The easiest way to do a naming convention is this. x represents any number from 1-? however many PC's there are in the room if the building has no name use a name that is common among your employees.

  2. Keyboard cleaning on Are Keyboards Dishwasher Safe? · · Score: 0

Just have a keyboard layout pic in front of you then just clean each one individually every once in a great while.

  3. .xxx on ICANN Rejects .XXX Top Level Domain, Again · · Score: -1, Flamebait

This .xxx domain would decrease the amount of little kids finding porn accidentally and then getting addicted to it later in life. WHY not just force the server administrators to reroute the address to the .xxx domain that they buy and/or host on. Geez, i see this as a case of server administrators being lazy.

  4. Access Database on Managing Lots of IP Addresses? · · Score: 1

I think a good solution to be is make one database with many queries and if you keep updating the main table the queries will change with it. You can use Between This Number and That Number so that only those IP Address would show up if this was me i'd set it up either by network node or Workstation Name.

  5. VISTA on 4 GB May Be Vista's RAM Sweet Spot · · Score: 1

I thought VISTA was supposed to make our lives easier not harder. Why do we have to buy so much RAM just to get our OS working. Some do not even need 4 GIG unless they have so many high powered programs it's ridiculous. BUT before buying Vista Consumers need to really think what am I really getting for the price and new features.

  6. GOOD TOOL on War Declared on Caps Lock Key · · Score: 1

There is no reason that specific key needs to be deleted because it is good for games that don't allow you to change the font size etc. Also it's good for those times you need to emphasize a point THE CAPS LOCK KEY NEEDS TO STAY, now if I would have to use the shift key to type that out would take me longer than having to just tap one key to keep a sentence all caps. -sjipca

  7. Pointless? on You OS Web Based Operating System · · Score: 1

Hey umm... Yea this OS is pointless because in order to access the internet you need an OS on your computer whether it be DOS, LINUX, SUN, whatever's out there but I think you should go back to the drawing board and find a way to do as other people have commented find it so someone who has a piece of crap computer can use it without an OS installed. O ya.

  8. XP File & Settings Transfer on Speeding up Firewire File Transfers? · · Score: 1

Umm Yea instead of doing that you can use the Windows XP Files & Settings Transfer ON the CD just Insert your XP CD or just borrow someone else's and then use that tool to move all of your crap to a new computer using USB 2.0 Data Transfer Cord. (480 Mbps)

  9. Trailers on Congress Sets Sights on Videogames · · Score: 1

There is such a thing as game trailers that can be found all over the internet. If your child knows the game title all you have to do is use a search engine to find the game's title and trailer to the game so you can see a preview, you may have to search around to see more than one trailer but this way you are protecting your KIDS.

  10. Protection on How do You Protect Your Online Privacy? · · Score: 1

I think the biggest thing is keep your mouth shut about internet stuff to others because you never know who is listening. Only give that kind of information out to those who know it. Also i think that you should only use fake stuff if you have had experience in things going missing like money etc. I also only put my name when signing up for e-mail accounts etc. because that information they do need. Also I believe another way of dealing with good security is make usernames that are unique and not simple like jdoe, or johndoe or doej234 and crap like that use something people wouldn't use to try and figure out who you are. When I pick any type of usernames etc. I try and make it be something that relates to me but doesn't give personal information or flag any.

Fire is a wonderful thing b/c it burns plastic, or what you can do is shred and for even better security use an electro magnet to scramble the card so it won't work.

  12. Scanners on Searching for a Decent Scanner? · · Score: 1
