the music in the trailer was Icelandic band Sigur Ros, off their album Takk ("Thank You"), I thought it was really interesting that they used a song that was written only to convey emotion without using words that many are familiar with, while completely eschewing the standard heavy-handed voice over. Maybe it's their way of saying that they really are trying to do things differently, and let the gameplay and visuals speak for themselves. In any event, I have to think that if they pull this off, it could be a unique and hopefully incredible gaming experience. And no, I'm not on their payroll, I just like art and had fun with Sands of Time and the last one.
This is actually good news as far as the DS version goes. The "Original Trilogy" on the DS was a glitchy mess. Now that it's back in the hands of Traveller's Tales, who made the series in the first place, there's some hope for the completely redesigned game (albeit one that should have come out in the first place).
I recently came across a number of danger mouse episodes online at all you see (not going to actually link to it here). The BBC also put it out on dvd, so yeah, having it officially sanctioned on the youtube could bolster the dvd sales, as the article summary postulated, or we could just get our fixes online. Either way works for me, really. However, I'm holding out for Black Books, Spaced, and the IT Crowd, 3 phenomenal comedies from the BBC that they have YET to release on dvd outside of region 2 (my aunt in California wants the IT Crowd). Having them available online could help tide me over until I can get them on other media. Also, I was born in 1980, grew up with the DM on Nickelodeon, back when they used to play cartoons. Now THERE'S a partnership I'd be happy to see (wink wink nudge nudge).
Does anybody else look at this guy and think about Dwight from the American version of the Office? I'm sure either one would be the same amount of fun to hold a conversation with.
So, if next gen games are costing so much more to produce, why is it that a game like Call of Duty 2, which is made in tandem for pc and xbox 360, will sell for 50 bucks on pc and 60 on the console? Seems like they might be messing with the market base a bit.
Hey, I can remember having books for Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania II back when I was about 12 years old. I thought they were pretty cool at the time, especially the whole CIA aspect for Ninja Gaiden. I'm sure If I went back and looked at them, they'd be crap.
