My vacations are riding my bike somewhere, anywhere. I take my cell phone but leave it off. On the schedule for next year is http://www.bicycletourcolorado.com/. Get up everyday, ride, meet people and then at night, drink some beer. Work never crosses my mind on these trips.
My in-laws would click on a email that read "Don't click this or all your data will be GONE!" They willy-nilly click on anything that pops up or they get in email. I think my father-in-law will subscribe to anything. Now they are complaining about the amount of spam they are getting.
Here is what you do:
1. Ghost the machine after you have to reinstall everything.
2. re image the computer when the worst happens.
3. hand them a hanky to wipe up the tears after they learn all their data is gone.
4. repeat from step 2 each time disaster hits.
I am going to watch this unfold with distanced curiosity. I wouldn't pay $600 for a console system, but I really wouldn't buy one from Sony. Sony keeps shooting holes in their ship and they don't even realize it. They lost sight of what is really important a long time ago, the customer. I don't want Sony to go out of business, but I do think they are circling the drain with poor decisions followed by poor choices.
I won't ever buy it. Their customer support/policies are terrible, not even bringing in the latest DRM fiasco. When I see the Sony label I get a cold shiver with the memory of calling their customer support number the last time.
And this was just in the paper Sunday: http://www.dilbert.com/comics/dilbert/archive/dilb ert-20061126.html
Will the wind turbines eventually be able to replace the coal-fired generation plants? And when the wind isn't blowing where will your power come from?
Someone needs to coat keyboards and mice with these nanosilver particles since I have to touch so many at work.

Give them a call about sharing large files...oh, wait, never mind.
