I found HotJava working quite OK. It's kind of slow on my machine, but it's very usable. It renders tables very fast... Just try it on Freshmeat. I just love it:)
I'm in Norway. I've actually no formal education but still get paid well... With well, I'm thinking in the line of $30-35000 a year. Very well paid is ofcourse the double:)
I had almost the same story. I met this great girl(long long before I became a geek). We broke up, she had a lot of fun, I was broken in a thousand pieces... I moved, found a girl(still with her.. 7 years now), became a geek and I'm really happy now.

I know all this and I agree with you. I'm very much for choice, but to take the good KDE and kind of "ruin" it with a _more_ Windows look... That is what I'm thinking of...
I feel kind of dissapointed. I personally don't want a desktop that looks like MS Windows. I want something special, something exotic. OK, I use KDE, but it's along with WindowMaker and it's a lot of fun. Hmm, just a lot of nonsense from me. I'll shut up now...
Even tho users stay stupid the demand for IT personell will not grow. What will grow is the workload on every single IT worker. Tech firms won't spend much more money on more folks, but rather pay overtime to those they already have. They might even give the job to one that already have 2-3 other things to do just to save $50,000 a year...
* Domain1 could be domain.com * Domain2 could be domain.net
And so on...
This may not be it, but I used domain3 as my username... and got in.
When you do a whois you'll see what to use. Regards, Stig

Why not ask for the EULA _before_ you purchase the product !! Then tell the reseller you don't agree to the EULA but still want the hardware. Maybe it'll work, maybe it won't:)
I personally don't believe this story.. I get the feeling their're screwing us badly here.
Check this one out and tell me what you think.
I they've been running linux for some time, they should've done this a long time ago instead of waiting.
I don't know anything about german banking, but this story is just waaaaay too much.
I sick and deadly tired of large bigass corporations sueing head over heal just to make a few more bucks or get a little more publicity.
Die die die and please just ask us instead...
