The problems that come with new frameworks, new technologies and mostly new trends usually lies amon the purpose for implementation. Using ajax just for the sake of using it is not the issue. Of course emerging technologies have their maturation process. Criticizing a technology usually helps in the development if the criticism has specific issues that must be resolved.
Well... that might be ok if your bandwidth is monstrous, but most people outside of big metro areas dont get that coverage. I would hate to finish a level and then have to stare at a "loading..." or downloading % screen for 3 hours before i get on to the next level.
I have never met a girl that would look at console... or game and said... If there would only be a different type of hero that would challenge me as a woman and help me throw off the chains of a sexually repressive society I would live on the couch.
The concept of a more secure female role in games is present in some games... maybe not as much as overly muscular male figures but there are a few... Take "Enter the Matrix" for example... While I feel the comments made in the article are valid, I just think that that feminism usually blows the issue out of proportion... in the end while a change in the gaming industry might result in the increase in female participation the bigger market will always be 12 - 30 year old men.
Well aparently this is a good book if you're chosing a programing platform that is application oriented. I'd like to know if there is anything in the book about making intelligent (efficient).Net applications.
If there is any part in that book on how to make.Net code not consume all the resources in testing server I'll buy one right now.
This cannot be good... Imagine getting the "really cool" cable package and setting Tivo to get all the "ins" and "outs" of your fav shows... Then walking alongside a TV display who just happens to replay all your fav sick-o shows on for all to see... Better yet... go Tivo shopping with mom! Shell be proud.... NOT.
