I wish that there was a school voucher system in my state. I do not like the idea of paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for a public school system that has become a joke the world over. NCLB has turned our public schools into a warehouse of future McDonald's employees. Schools are forced to teach to the slowest students learning level and then forced to give tests to retain accreditation in the state. If the slowest student in the class will be unable to pass the tests, then by default the entire class will not be able to pass the testing and the school will be penalized. That isn't the worst of it. WE paid for this to happen! And continue to pay for it. And, at least in my state, we don't have a lot of other options. Unless you're wealthy and can afford to continue paying taxes AND pay for private education, our children suffer in the hands of the government's bullshit education policies. Private schools pay teachers better, because they can afford it, and as a result, they get the better teachers. School vouchers aren't destroying the quality of public education. They provide CHOICES for parents that wouldn't normally have choices for their children's education. They provide competition for the public schools, and isn't that really what the foundation of America is based in?
The Full Disclosure post has A screenshot which is claimed to be from Time Warner and it is taken by you to be true? Show us logs. I can post a few screenshots and claim that they are from DSL, does that mean that they are? C'Mon, you know better than that. A few bloggers complaining and posting "screenies" of their MIRC client does not provide solid evidence.
I don't see how you could argue that doing this benefits TimeWarner, from a legal sense.
The easy argument is that Time Warner is not the ones accused, COX IS... RTFA!!!!!!!!!!!

DUDE! TW != Cox... The articles linked have no mention of Time Warner, but of Cox... While it is very possible that Time Warner was/is doing the same thing or something similar. Noone has posted evidence to back this up.
The answer is Both are doing it? How about a link to prove your claim? Cox != Time Warner... Not to say that Time Warner isn't guilty of this or other questionable actions. But if you are going to talk about Cox, then don't title it Time Warner... If you are going to title it Time Warner, then provide links to back up your claim....

Article is misleading! Not unusual for/. but still! You can ONLY go if you are a high school student and if you are considering UMR, and well, just read yourself from the FAQ:

Fiber will give you 1 Gigabit if you are willing to pay for it. Lets define some terms though. Korea has 10 Megabits (Mbps), not MegaBytes (MBps), to the home. 8 bits in a byte, 10 MB = 80 Mb per second. It is important that we differentiate bits and bytes... The speeds in the US are slowly catching up to this 10 Mb although it is generally not symmetrical as the upstream bandwidth is what is costly to provide, and what very few people actually use... Companies like AT&T are working on FTTC (Fiber To The Curb) and Time Warner is doing FTTP (Fiber To The Premise) if you are willing to pay for it and are within their footprint. Even speeds of WiFi services are increasing. Metro Mesh gear can support up to 108 Mbps if you are directly connected to the egress location (speeds half every hop you take.)
These things take time and money to deploy. Who pays for it? The Cable and Phone companies are in the business of making money, not providing you more bandwidth that to be honest, you are not going to use. The government has NO business in this arena, or would you like your tax dollars being spent to deploy something that you are not going to use? Relax, as more people demand more speeds, the availability will be there and the price will come down significantly. I have already seen the prices of 100 Mbps circuits get cut in half, and that was just in the last year.

HOWEVER, having traveled extensively through the states I can definitively state that a MAJORITY of the states have a population of education deficient individuals, and in many cases, some of the states that you did not list as being "backwater" have a greater quantity of complete and utter morons than all of the "backwater" states that you mentioned put together. We still welcome immigrants. We want them to go through due processes to get in the country! It is the illegal immigrants that are the problem. As a previous poster said, if they want to come to the country LEGALLY, pay taxes, get health insurance, etc... we have no problem with them. I don't want to pay inflated medical expenses cause Julio jumped the border with his 15 kids and wife and went to the emergency room to get a bandaid for his finger that he cut working in someones lawn getting paid cash under the table.
Immigration laws have been put into effect to allow the poor, tired masses to come to the US for a better life. People subverting those laws and hopping the border are just common criminals and deserve no better treatment than the guy who steals from the drugstore/convenience store/insert store here.
