I tried reading the comments on Digg. Childish, immature, offtopic, it was like reading slashdot at -1 with the all the insightful and informative comments missing. They made the average slashdotter look like a Mensa member. Too many one word posts and "digg it" for reading the comments to be worthwhile. I'm with the parent, I read slashdot for the interesting discussions.
If I was going to write a letter Dr. Denis P I would make sure to swap the second 'D' and the 'P' on accident of course and then make lots of statements with vaguely phallic sounding adjectives and nouns. I think it might go something like this:
Dear Dr. Penis D,
I am distressed to hear that one of your students is getting shafted. I mean you guys are really sticking it to him. The punishment is a little stiff don't you think? It was his first time anyone could make a mistake like that. I'm not saying he should get off lightly but expulsion is a little harsh. Please reconsider your position on this matter.
All they said was that they hooked it up to electrodes and a computer to train the brain cells to fly the plane in simulator. Is this basically the same as training an artificial neural network or is there some more complicated biological factors involved than the just shocking the cells when they veer off course?
The point of golf is to acheive the lowest score possible on each hole. +5 would mean that it took 5 more strokes to put the ball in the whole than par which is terrible. In slashdot golf we should also aim for the lowest score like me, I'm quite positive I'll get modded -1, offtopic or not at all which would give me a large stroke advantage over your score.

All hail the color-changing Type-R stickers, up to 37% faster than the original!
biasted against stupidity
I'm still debating if this was intentional.

You can call me the Jack Nicklaus of Slashdot.
Wouldn't a death threat be "unsolicited?"
Maybe they were asking for it.
I find that highly unlikely.
Beam me up Scotty!
