You booked appointments so you say but you booked them not in good faith but with a different reason in mind which was to do a live denial of service on Apple and it's customers . So , it can argued that you use a perfectly legal method and used it to illegally force Apple to comply with your demands . As for your example in Boston , a public sidewalk protest has a much more leeway than doing it on the streets as long as the protestors are not interfering with the company's right to do business and the customer's right to buy from them and by the way , the Genius bar as we all know is inside the Apple Store and you are right , Apple cannot evict you and charge you with trespassing when you are protesting outside on the sidewalk but it is a different matter when you are harassing their staff inside the Apple store which the Genius bar is located even when you have a perfectly nice booked appointment .

Ah , but street protests needs a permit from city hall and if I am not mistaken, street protests without a rally permit gets the riot police in action to disperse said protest . In your case , the situation you gave as an example is not analogous to what you and your friends had done because you are not protesting on public property . You had protested in a PRIVATE property . So , your group had committed the crime of trespassing and second , harassment which led to the loss of x amount of dollars and time for both Apple and it's customers and third , your actions constituted as a threat because you had shown that you are willing to use force to obtain your agenda which your group did regardless of absence of violence . So if Apple decides to sue FSF to kingdom come in front of court , the judge would rule against you . And for your last point , now I know why I don't trust FSF or any activist's organizations , their leadership and many of their fanatical members never understood the concept of free choice and free will . If you want Apple to listen to you , compete for customers .

Actually , being a heretic got you killed in most of the ancient world as well even before Christianity . The practice of dealing with heresy and heretics were as old as man itself. Your second assertion lacks a lot of facts as well . Explain to me this simple fact , why did Christianity took several centuries to take root in the Roman empire and the rest of Europe while it took Islam less than three centuries to spread throughout North Africa , the Iberian peninsula , Sicily , the Levent , Persia , Mesopothamia and India . Read a real history book for a change , you might just learn a few things about Islam for a change. Convert or die is not the mantra of Christianity during the 4th century , it was the mantra of Islam from the seventh century up to now. Terms like dhimmitude and jizya you must know as well as the history of the Jannisaries and the white slave trade in the Mediterrean that ended when the European powers in the 19th century destroyed the barbary pirates and colonized North Africa. It will open your eyes. What is racist about Islam anyway , Islam and muslim is not a race , there are Caucasian muslims , Arab muslims , Chinese muslims , Hispanic muslims , African muslims . Using racism as an excuse for a religion that is multi racial means that it's defenders have a very weak leg to stand on to defend Islam as a religion. Secondly , where do the posters get the videos of muslims murdering christians and others , here is a hint , on radical muslim websites .

Ahh , you have forgotten the main thing here, Apple built the iPod and own the music store as well as the FairPlay DRM , they don't own the content of what they sell on the iTMS store . They sign a damn contract with the music companies to let Apple sell their songs thru iTunes . Now if Apple own all the record companies , build the iPods and have iTMS as the primary distributer of downloadable music with the exclusion of all others , you may have a point . Since they do not , your analogy sucks big time.

I agree with most of your points except the legislation part . The best way to deal with iTMS success is by having a digital music company having the courage to tell recording companies that they can outsell iTMS if they are given a chance to sell their songs without DRM on all mp3 players including the iPod on both Windows and Macintosh platform as well as the Linux platform. Legislating commerce sometimes lead to unpleasant consequences especially to the consumers.

They can afford to build wildlife preserves as well as create breeding programs to help endangered species. Places like China and other communist countries have varying wild conservation programs depending on the wildlife's popularity and how it helps them in the public relations game . For unheralded creatures like the baiiji , it's tough luck . In poor countries like the Philippines , wild life programs like the Calauit preserve and the monkey eagle breeding program are supported by mostly foreign donations or in the case of Calauit , government money . But at most , a lot of endangered species are ignored because the government does not have the money , it's people have varying levels of education and above all , for many of the poor people in the hinderlands , personal survival takes precedence over an endangered animal. c) There are a lot of conservationists in the conservative ranks , ironically , many of them are hunters and sports fishermen. Or how about criticism towards the UN and the EU,do we really think the blogs will be free to criticize these institutions and their bureaucrats when they have control?
