Every HDDVD player HAS to have Ethernet connectivity. So It can access all the online content which is trickling out now.
I'm a little worried that the consumers will choose the inferior technology.
Only time will tell.

I've never met anyone that was excited about windows. Open source and windows are going to live side-by-side ?
If you look at the main sections to the left. There is no "windows" or "microsoft" section.
GNU/Linux comes in so many flavours you can get a *nix OS for pretty much anything.
I still use windows, I use *nix's aswell.
But I've always hated windows.
cheaper. you can get a 42" HD PDP for the same price as a 32" LCD.
Don't worry, they use the same amount of power over one year watching "tv".
they both have 60,000 hours in them, 5hr a day for 30 yrs.

I work in a TV store and they both are pretty hot at 5!

lets talk about E3 in 10 yrs time
once again the gov. interferes with the ever growing technology race.
DVD's, MP3's now phone calls.
Maybe if they start looking at problems as a whole rather than putting old
laws onto new ideas....
