One other thing that can kill your download speed is that your upload speed is to high. Since the BitTorrent protocol uses TCP your computer needs to send back a packet saying that you received a packet. If it can't do this the other computer will keep on sending that packet over & over again until your computer tells it that you have it.
Once again Ziff Davis proves the point that they can't be trusted for reliable information. I remember once I read an article in one of their publications that in the beginning said that IIS 4 was better then Apache at the time, (This was arround 1998-1999 IIRC) then near the end it said the exact opposite saying that Apache was better then IIS 4.
Since reading the article I mentioned, I trust them as far as I can pick up every last one of their buildings & throw them. That is lifting all of the buildings they use at the same time & throwing them all together in the same direction. This will never happen as I can only lift about 100 Lbs. & I'm sure that even empty all the buildings they use would weigh more then that.
They fixed it. It now says "Early Sunday, that capsule nose-dived through Earth's atmosphere at a record 29,000 mph, the fastest return for a man-made probe."
I guess someone noticed it & had someone fix it. I love the fact that you can fix a problem like this on the Internet while it is another story fixing an already printed story.
Well last Black Friday http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Friday_(shoppin g), at Wal-Mart we pulled out those old "chunk-chunk" credit card machines, because our connection to the home office kept failing. So even some of the biger retailers keep them arround for a las resort. We had several managers carring thme arround for the first few hours. Then it finnaly quited down to levels the server & the connection could handle so they put the old clunckers away until next Black Friday.
Yes it was something similar to the/. effect that was killing our connection & possibly overloading our servers. I don't know exactly where the problem was as I'm just a cashier there & as such they tell me almost nothing.
I guess you didn't do a search over at http://support.microsoft.com/ then, as they have several articles that tell you how to intigrate third party drivers such as RAID into your installation of Windows. I don't know the article numbers off the top of my head, but a search should help find them.
You didn't RTFA. I will quote the part of it of intrest to this thread now without adding Taco Bell or anything else for that matter.
"Other start-up firms that have expressed interest in NASA's space station business include t/Space, SpaceDev, Constellation Services International, AirLaunch LLC, SpaceHab, Andrews Space, Rocketplane Ltd., Universal Space Lines and Bigelow Aerospace, according to an Excel spreadsheet on NASA's procurement Web site."
See no Taco Bell. If you still don't belive me then just RTFA ok. I also downloaded the.xls file which has no references to Taco Bell either.
I guess that means you can't trust an "Anonymous Coward" when they "quote" an article as they neither gain or lose karma.
I vote that this entire thread should be modded to funny as I think the AC was playing a joke on you.
So you are saying that the tree whose nuts needed to go through the digestive system of the dodo is not worth while.
I was watching a show on the Discovery Channel (it might have been another similar channel though) about nuts & they mentioned a tree that was on the same island as the dodo, the youngest tree of that species they found was from the time period of the dodo. They started trying to make it so that the seeds can germinate by reproducing the same environment as in the dodos digestive system.

Most of the viruses I received from my email account at netzero. In fact the Swen virus forced me to stop using their service, because if I didn't check my account every two hours, & download all the virus e-mails, my account would be stuffed with copies of Swen. I actually saved 21 copies of the Swen virus allong with 24 e-mails that have the virus in them. I know I should extract the copies from the e-mails, but I really don't feel like doing that.
I have received some more viruses after netzero introduced their virus scanning software, which is supposed to stop e-mail viruses. I just don't get as many e-mail viruses now.:(
Ah well that explains why I've never had any problems. I'd never do something stupid like that.
I think to test that out either use ballistics gel or a corpse that has been dedicated to science. Of course I'd have to be a scientist for the latter, but I'm not going to try putting electricity through my body intentionally.
One problem if you are talking about the 9 Volt battery I use in the following clock, fire alarm, & Carbon Monoxide Dectector, it doesn't have enough Amps to kill you, unless you touch it directly to your heart, maybe at that point it might, but direct current has been proven to be safer then alternating current. If you don't believe me try touching a brand new Duracell or Energizer Battery to your tounge. All you will get out of it is a strange sensation in your tounge, unless you are really stupid & hold it there for several minutes, in which case I did warn you, as I have no idea what it will cause to happen & I really don't car to try & figure that out either.
So what kind of killer 9 Volt battery are you talking about? Is it home made, some sort of custom job, or is it a battery I just don't know about.
I did also check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_shock for more information. They did confirm what I already knew. Ventricular fibrillation (First the catagory Shock effects then the data that matters for this topic with a battery) "With DC, 300 to 500 mA of DC is required." Now of course "Ventricular fibrillation is a cardiac condition which consists of a lack of coordination of the contraction of the muscle tissue of the large chambers of the heart that eventually leads to the heart stopping altogether." at least according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ventricular_fibrillat ion which does sound correct to me.
But how many make it to the heart? Did you even check what unit of Amps they were talking about.
Here is a quote from http://www.actionstunguns.com/pantherstunguns.htm
"The basic idea of stun guns is to disrupt the bodies communication system. Stun guns generate a high-voltage, low-amperage electrical charge. In simple terms, this means that the charge has a lot of pressure behind it, but not that much intensity. When you press the stun gun against an attacker and hold the trigger, the charge passes into the attacker's body. Since it has a fairly high voltage, the charge will pass through heavy clothing and skin. But at around 3 milliamps, the charge is not intense enough to damage the attacker's body unless it is applied for extended periods of time."
So once again it is a low amperage. Please either check the science as Mark Twain said "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."
I do know enough to realize that a device that uses One 9 Volt Battery to produce 100,000 Volts will step done the Amperage significantly.
You forgot about the third variable from electricity Watts. If you know Voltage & Watts you can figure out Amps, if you know Voltage & Amps you can figure out Watts, & if you know Watts & Amps you can figure out Voltage. 1 volt is more then enough to kill you if it has enough Amps.
If I Remember correctly Voltage is how much electricity is going though & Amps is how fast. If I'm wrong about this someone please correct me & educate me.
I would quote the equations for this, but all my notes from my high school physics class is in storage at my parents house.
It's not the Volts that kill you it's the Amps. Since water will normally form droplets that should be safe provided you don't touch the head while it is on. This is because the water has to travel several inches before it form the life saving droplets.
Well I found some old footage from 1993 United airlines, doing the same idea as the Myth Busters only they used the cheaper idea of just tow the car instead of the remote control. This makes me wonder why they could do it, but the Myth Busters weren't allowed to do it.
I beleive it is because IPv4 has four octets & IPv6 will have 6 groupings. I've heard different stories as to what the groupings are going to be for IPv6.
Besides they have done it before, for example when Netscape went from version 4.* to 6.*. So this has actually happened before.
If you need to have this issue with Phds from India all you need to do is call Microsoft Windows Tech support. (Last I knew it was being done in India.) I always hated it when I got a call on Windows 98 or Windows ME that had followed any directions given by one of those techs from India, because now I have to not only actually fix the original issue I also have to fix all of the other issues they created.

This has a problem on Both IE 6 & Netscape 7.2, In Internet Explorer it adds a:80 thus making it so the computer has no idea what port to talk on, while Netscape decides the page can't exist as it ignores the port number.
My JavaScript books are at my parents house right now..
Any ideas on how to fix this. Also what browser(s) did you test this on?
I did notice since I mainly signin using the Motorola MX240a, which is considered a mobile device they didn't add the annoying bots. After reading this story I signed in & they started being annoying on my wireless IM device now too. I'm upset that they did this. I think they sould have at least asked me. You know startup a conversation & allow me to either say yes or close the box. Of course that would follow "Don't Be Evil" so AOL would never follow that idea. At least that's how I look at it.
One Minor problem is that BitTorrent actually uses SHA not MD5 for it's hashing. Check out the following link for more information.
http://dessent.net/btfaq/#hash-check
You also forgot that because of the EM field generated by copper it's signal can be read from several feet away, where as fiber doesn't have this problem. The exact distance depends on several variables including, but not limited to the following, What kind of network is going through the copper, how many pairs in the bundle, weather it is shielded or not, etc...
So this means it is easier to detect a wiretap on a fiber network then on a copper one, because you have to splice the fiber, where as you can just park your device a few feet away & still get the signal with copper.
You may want to try something called "Persistent Port Forwarding" by Microsoft, while my Actiontec router just calls it "Port Forwarding" as they don't seem to have any "Application Triggered Port Forwarding", it has other names like all things in computers. Here is a FAQ about this issue. Here is a site with more information on port forwarding.
