Wasn't MW4 the one where Microsoft went with the weapon slot types instead of a fully customizable mech? If so, does this mod remove some of those asinine restrictions? I know I practically fell in love with MW2. (The original MW2 (Mechwarrior 2), not this new game Modern Warfare 2)
With the current upcoming game console wars is the technology that does just that. It's actually been around for some time and only needs a camera facing the driver that can extrapolate facial features in a very easy "low tech" way of video filtering.
Please, just because the buildings may be out of repair and the sidewalks covered in graffiti doesn't mean it's blinding./badpun
It is a good question though. Is infrared generated by the heat of an engine or are you referring to the reflected light from other sources? If reflected, I would imagine it would be no worse than a sunny day.
I use "boot" to describe that part that covers my convertible top, but I've never heard anyone describe the compartment on the back of their car as a boot.
The console packaging and the in-box manual for the console do not refer to the use of Linux on the console.
Actually, it does tell you how to install the OtherOS and I believe it lists Linux as an option. I will have to dig out my user manual when I get home, but I'm pretty sure that statement is wrong.
Then we get into the problem of how you determine who contributed. If I happen to have a controlling class and I root one of the mobs that are attacking, do I get credit for keeping them alive? What if that haste spell I cast on a passerby helps him to barely kill a mob that he wouldn't be able to without my haste... do I get credit for helping him out or am I required to do damage?
Then define to me the point of creating a character strictly for buffing and/or crowd control. No healing, no damage, but VERY useful in group situations. Are you going to further complicate that equation to include damage the "might" have been caused by the mob sleeping? Who was this mob attacking? Warriors mitigate more damage than a wizard.
The only problem I have with this... people hanging out near boss battles or high exp mobs. Wait for a party to attack, hit it a few times and walk away, get 100% exp. If you have an area full of groups/people hunting then you have people who will sit there popping off arrows to as many engaged mobs as possible to increase their exp intake without risking their own death.
The current situation I'm in: (Yes, it's a rant...)
I sit in a half cubicle (where the wall only wraps the desk and no more and it's short enough to peek over without standing) and right next to me is my boss. Everyone else on our team is in different states. My desk also happens to be right next to the break room where people religiously burn popcorn, microwave fish, and speak to each other as if they are in a stadium because the television is turned up loud enough to drown out said people. There is someone about 12 feet behind me in a similar such cube whom I constantly hear sucking on one of those water bottles and randomly taking a bite out of an apple or other similar food product. I get a whole 5 minutes a day to do something that's not "work related" because someone thought it would be a great idea to take our Scrum process and turn it into a timesheet detailing what we did the previous day and if we don't account for at least 6 hours of work, who knows what will happen. But we are asked on our Scrum meetings to justify at least 6 hours of work.
My only solitude is late at night when most of the people have gone home, and that's when I get the most work done.
We used to be able to work from home, but some idiot decided it would be best to move to a VPN system that requires system validation to determine if you are on a work Laptop before granting you access to RDP to your own PC and I am not in a line of work that "requires a laptop." Said VPN system limits me to only browsing web pages. Big waste of time and resources since they are paying for my RSA token and account access that I can no longer use.
My suggestion for the OP... ask your developers. If you have the chance to give your developers a choice, DO IT! Then ask them again in 6 months to see if the situation is working. Above all, give them a chance to find a quiet place and don't force them into an open arena where people are constantly looking over their shoulder.
I'm still waiting on the day when there's a CMS without check in/out interaction. It's hard enough getting our designers to use a CMS let along making them actually check out what they want to work on (Since it's right there on their hard drive... they don't need to get it!) Some of our developers are the same way. If only someone created a "file system" hook or a special folder that automatically handled all this in the background like DropBox on steroids, it would go a long way to solving this. Computers are supposed to make lives easier, not add steps to the workflow, right?
Agree, but for no more reason that you state. Eventually we won't be able to tweak bits on a metal platter easier than on silicon, nano-tubes or whatever else seems to be coming down the line. I think it's more a lack of patience that this story was posted.
Maybe I'm getting old, but 2011 doesn't seem like an inordinate amount of time to wait. It's roughly 8-20 months to wait. While it's not going to enthuse those looking to upgrade this year, it's not like the world will end if SSDs don't take off in a month.
You forgot the bumper stickers, license plates (CU N HVN), "Pledge of Allegiance", the US Dollar, billboards, "Bless you" when someone sneezes (maybe that's reaching)...
The original post was talking about Sarah Palin being a non-native Alaskan and had nothing to do with illegal immigration. I touched on immigration but, I do agree there's nothing wrong with legal immigration. To shun a person simply because they are not native is not indicative of "the American way." That was my point. Sorry if it was lost.
I'm not saying you were for it. I'm just saying that even though some overlooked the idea that all people were covered by such a document (probably because they didn't consider slaves to be people) doesn't mean they made it legal.
I know some people attribute a Constitutional mindset to that of slavery and oppression because some people at the time didn't really read and understand (or were ignorant) to what the documents said.
(I'm probably being defensive myself. There are times I tell people I'm more of a Constitutionalists than anything and they think I'm pro-slavery, et al. by association.)
Because we all know, the best mentality for treatment is only for those of us that live here. Everyone else must stay away. Stupid immigrants/"imports."
If I remember correctly, Apple did go from gray to white! So I would say Apple is Gandolf. :p

I would hope it was a transparent arrow and didn't cover the entire screen...

I bought my last two cars (2004/2008) without a spare tire. They do include a "fix a flat" set with a can of sealant and some small tools.

Yeah, Chinese sweatshops are really warm.

You're in management, aren't you? Always assume the workers are screwing off?

and that is not expected to change until 2011.
But 2011 is so far away! OMG!

Are you sure about that?
Are you trying to trick me?
Is this a new play on "When I was young..."? ;)
You can get 60GB for under $120?
No, you can't.

... and that's the way they like it.
