Replaying the same missions with a different character with different skills is really still the same game. I don't understand why people think that this is a "replay angle." The only "replay" Diablo 1/2 had was the fact that you had to find specific attributes on weapons and those were fairly hard to find. It was still the same quest, same levels (even though they were randomized) in the same order. Replay in that game was farming. Does Skyrim have different quest lines that branch from the very beginning and take you to places in the world that the other quest lines do not? If not, you're still playing the same missions, killing the same people (or doing the same FedEx quests) to get to the same ending(s). I don't understand how that's "replay value."

Fallout 3 touched a bit on the multiple branching quests based on your choices, but you still eventually ended up going to the same place in the end.

I think that Canonical should have worked on the UI as a branch and introduced it when it was a little more refined as a secondary option on install.

I personally dislike the interfaces of Unity and Gnome3 (Gnome 3 is "better" IMHO) because hate having to CTRL-Click on icons to get no instances of programs to launch from the left bar. There's pretty much no need for it since all the apps are displayed in the middle of the screen and the only reason you'd go to the left bar is to launch a new one.

This happens a lot... and it can get into major overhead. The place I used to work had to go through special hoops to get a workplace training system with questions and answers approved by the German Works Council because we collected a worker ID and could track what answers they selected for questions. We were using it to track what questions were missed the most, but being able to find out what employee answered incorrectly was a concern.

There was also a situation in dealing with Quebec and ensuring that French was listed before English because they have some law that felt it important to violate the alphabetical sorting of language text.

    We're screwed, dude.

Well, we are screwed... but it's not because of the free market. We don't have a free market when it comes to communication. We have the FCC and other government forces that prevents you or I to use whatever ISP, radio band, or communication medium we want (that a truly free market would allow.) IMHO, the FCC was deprecated with the advent of spread spectrum technology.
