I own a business that does computer consulting and I've found that Wordpress is easier to use, easier to administer and easier to train. I also agree that Joomla! does a lot of other things, but I've found it difficult to use, difficult to set up and a little more buggy than Wordpress, so I completely agree with rallymatte's evaluation
We rolled out IM / Pidgin / Trillian to the entire company and found that productivity soared! Instead of having to call people for an answer, you could IM them. Translated into far fewer open calls, lower call time, higher customer satisfaction, less second tier and third tier support calls. If that's not good - don't know what would be.
I have been a hiring manager for over 15 years and I've found I need to ask a question or two during the interview process. For the most part, people are honest about their experience, but there's a good number of people that aren't figuring that they can get in the door and learn it.
I've only given two people tests - but they were to gauge their abilities to be a coder. They were both administrative workers at the company and wanted to move into IT. One worked out extremely well, the other decided she preferred her old job.
So - if you have experience, there's better ways for them to check your credentials, but if none, it's a good way to lower your risk.
Tell me about it!
I started my business a year ago to bring foss to schools. I've been working every single day, have contacted all the schools, each county's technology director, each superintendent, each chief financial officer and in some counties, each principal in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Ohio.
I've made one sale for $250! Saved the school a little over $10,000! I have to get a regular job now...
Just a quick google didn't find anything. My company is willing to host a wiki for educational materials - just let me know. Visit http://www.imparisystems.com/ and click on the contact tab and send a note or I'll watch this posting.
Thanks.

Use S3 - you can install Amanda most of the time and it's incredibly cheap. It costs me $0.16 / month to back up my PC and two servers!
Nevermind - found the post about http://www.wikibooks..org/
