Why is it that everything bad that COULD happen is M$ fault and anything good that COULD happen is because of open source. I know all of you are going to scream and whine that open source rules and everything with it is great.. if it was.. M$ would not rule the world they do. I admit. SOME things are better when its open source... but sometimes I would like to have someone responsible for the problems.
Lets think real hard on this. Even IF ET was able to decode all the hardware/software of today create a virus and send it back in a quick enough time frame that it WAS able to infect comptuters. WHY WOULD THEY? These are aliens WAY ahead of us technologically. Would the "et loves you" virus be the biggest threat they could offer us? Oh no they crashed my email server sound a heck of a lot better to me than Oh no they sent a REAL virus to our planet and killed everyone.
I am just wondering what will happen when let say geffen creates their own copy protection and it works a lot like sony's only if you have sony's installed it kills your computer? Like any of the big record companies are going to show each other how their copy protection works to keep this from happening. This is bound to be an issue in the future if they go on an allow these companies to create this software and install it without your consent.

Think aliens run windows or linux. they would have to download the correct version to get it run on thier DELL
I think someone should write a virus using thier own rootkit to DDOS sony.com
