What the hell! I prefer Yahoo! search anyways. :)

Google became first because it delivered beter results, and generally still does.
    No more!
Overture powered Yahoo! has surpassed it.
I can say it because I have seen my blog featuring on Google's first page for search queries that were mostly irrelevant to my content.

Agreed completely. I cannot and will not deny the fact that those scraps are pretty easy and straightforward ways. (Though a "reply" button in your mail interface is quite similar :) )
    But what about the trade-off?
Not all, but *most of* the people spend there time moving from one profile to another to another.. looking at the albums, reading their testimonials. That's why the title goes "Get a Life".

It's really funny. I used to meet some people in the day time and get the "LONG-TIME-SCRAPS" complaints in the evening from them.
Now, how do we explain this?
  5. Get a Life! on Orkut In Pact With Indian Law Enforcement · · Score: 1

I was on Orkut... for less than 45 days. Deleted my account.
I personally feel that these *social networks* are nothing more than a waste of time.
My friends cite it as a useful resource to keep in touch with old friends... Comm'on. Isn't a mail enough if you *really really* want to be in touch? Communities (though not all) are crap too. The only thing worth on Orkut is the B'day ticker ;) But then it's a trade-off that you need to calculate.
    I'd like to know how many people belong to my category (or I belong to their category);
and how many feel that these Orkuts/MySpaces really help them keep in touch with old friends? Or are even worth their time?

hehe. That's a pretty debatable topic.
Once my uncle said, "whenever an engineer goes abroad for the first time, she/he tells everyone... but then he never mentions any of her/his other trips".
The reason being almost everyone she/he knows will ask her/him to get some stuff when he gets back, as it'd be a lot cheaper.
This again is subjected to the place of visit.
I guess one thing may be cheaper here, but then the other one would be costlier.
Is there any (stupid) study/comparison out there.;)

but couldn't get your price comparison with respect to India. You are not of the notion that Indian's are paid a pretty hefty salary. Are you?

However, I'd refrain from calling them sucker. It's just that they are illeterate in this regard... (As I am when it comes to biology.. and you may be in some other field).
And I believe it's our duty to keep them informed. That's knowledge sharing.... I believe. :)
