Just back from Office Depot where they happily accepted the return of Intuit's Turbo Tax in trade for a copy of H&R Block's TaxCut software. I have delt with Intuit for a few years but cannot abide this kind of underhanded attempt at treating good customers like theives.
You obviously need to re-hash your freshman level history and economics and toss that greenpeace/commie rag you've been quoting. Things ain't that bad down here 'cept fer the skeeters!!!
I am a relative newcomer to the Unix/Linux/BSD scene but the recent installation of FreeBSD v4.0 was almost flawless. Compared to my previous experiences with Corel Linux v1.0 it was a breeze following the well documented instuctions and later the man pages. My biggest irritation has been with the KDE desktop, not the underlying OS. Maybe you should give it another try.
I have found aptosid a good alternative. It is Debian based and easy to maintain once you consult the manual and learn a few basic commands.
I just got mine in the afternoon UPS delivery...locked-loaded-booted!!! It sure is "purty" and fast too!!!
