From my ISP on behalf of Starz, for downloading Torchwood - Miracle day. Apart from a 'we are watching you closely now' warning, that was the end of it.
Handing over credit card details to a 3rd party simply for convenience sake seems like lunacy - but multiple account details?
While iTunes hasn't been hacked, it doesn't mean it won't or can't happen. Having so much financial information stored there just seems like it makes it an even more appealing target. And I would think that various hacker groups would be salivating over the chance to find an exploit in the iPhone side of things - again, it may not have happened yet, but this seems like a big incentive for it to be worked on.
I'd be checking Mos Eisley Sapceport and see if someone is trying to pawn it. Ive been told that you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
I'd forgotten about that - not the porn, but movies WERE about the $100 mark initially, which is probably one driver behind video hire stores really taking off initially.
Back on to the porn, I had a friend bring back a copy (of a copy of a copy..) of a porno from the USA when he went on a visit..we were gutted when we discovered that it wouldn't play back on a PAL player..
"Rag" does bring to mind, at least my mind anyway, someone wearing grease smeared blue overalls, a shirt with an embroidered name patch that says "Cooter", and a grimy red baseball cap. On backwards.
Wow..what an awesome deterrent! Who would want to be poking and making swiping gestures across THAT! Rather than making a difficult to crack password, just make the device so nobody actually wants to put their finger on it!
Did Apple seriously think that they could get away with their asshole-ish behaviour forever without any repercussions? It was seriously short sighted of them to think that there wouldn't be an eventual backlash, or that they underestimated how much of a backlash once it got up some momentum. Just my own observations too, the backlash seems to be trickling down to the consumer level, I've heard quite a bit of talk around the office of jumping ship to Android when phone contracts expire from people who previously wouldn't part with their iPhone. YMMV.
I think that they will be successful - 45% funded and 34 days to go. I put my $15 in!

While iTunes hasn't been hacked that we publicly know of. Better?

For sure - if they can tolerate it more, ramp it up a notch!
It reads like a Thriller
My now ex sister in law used to wear raw onion rings over her ears to deter a cold. Nothing I could say made a difference to HER either!
Dammit..missed the earlier tinfoil hat references. My bad.
Tinfoil hats for all! Not only will it prevent problems from wifi, it will also stop the gubbment mind control devices

I thought that only applied to cats? (And toast, of course)

I had a Beta. Yeah, that's right. Beta top-loader.
This is true. But also remember, the Brazilian wax can also be applied to females. Those other kind of people without nutsacks. This is a good thing.
So Morbo, the green giant headed newsreading monster, should be careful with his 'I WILL DESTROY YOU'..it might get him deported.
I wholeheartedly agree
Of course, any would-be operators are required to have a bulging pocket of small change available and ready to go at a moment's notice.
You mean, I'm buying it just for the articles, for no reason??
"...so I took their plutonium and, in turn, gave them a shoddy bomb casing full of old used pinball machine parts!"

But you usually only find them in pairs
