i love google to death but they should be stepping up and protecting people being sued for using something they put out. if they just let this happen, it wont end, ever. also, with defending, they could find out what the hell MS is bitching about and integrate any workarounds into android so MS wouldnt have a leg to stand on from then on.

ok, we all know that there is a single problem here, one location controls every domain name resolution. the idea that _everything_ should be decentralized has plenty of issues. a solution is to have a daemon/service that updates your hosts file/whatever windows uses on a weekly basis (or forced update) from multiple random locations from a list of IPs. the reason for checking multiple locations is that one location could get hacked. so you would need some sort of checksum to quickly check the integrity. more redundancies/checks could be added to prevent interloping.
should such a list become unwieldy, it's clear that a new network needs to emerge as the existing one would be simply corrupt.

The reason why you never hear about porn sites getting cracked is because it is fucking easy. Most porn sites are vulnerable as hell and almost anyone with some technical proficiency can exploit them.

i like the new policy but i think there is more to this than just reform. i fear that Vladimir Putin may have had a hand in this simply as a way to strike at the US. he has significant influence on policy and to an extent, is a puppeteer. i know it sounds paranoid but Putin acts like the Cold War is still on.

People can only maintain contact with ~150 due to the speed at which they can communicate which includes processing what is being said. When we all have little implants that let us write what we think as fast as we think it the number will go up a little bit and when we can use eternal memory storage we will be able to have a lot more. However, when that happens we will be able to share our thoughts and memory which will lead to the downfall of mankind when women find out what men really think about.
instead of returning a twitter page in the UK, return a page that explicitly list everyone involved in the case (judges and all), why and the post the legal documents. i wonder how fast they will change their mind on this censorship bullshit.
