Hmm....new os with much newer functionality or minor changes to a 4 year old OS...Think I will take the newer one.
But seriously, look at the fact that M$ releases security fixes, a service pack isn't a huge priority nor should it be. Anyone in I.T. waiting to update until a Service Pack is released needs a head examination. So this commentarty is rather moot.
Hmm...cant say that I've noted that...
On Windows...
I have 5 extensions active, a pretty graphical theme (AquaTint [rocks btw]) and w/ 5 tabs open (some pages having Flash content) and FF is right around 68 megs and 0-5 cpu usage.
Iexplore.exe - 5 windows open to the same places, 54 megs, 14% cpu.
Of course IE isn't checking my email, monitoring the weather, telling me the time in 5 different places and handling my temp text files....one can also argue that having more windows open (since IE doesn't have tabs) is more thread heavy resulting in more CPU usage.
Hmm...good point. Esp. w/ the Bush Admin. trying to find ways to curb the export gap between the US and China. Of course, if that were the case we'd be seeing anti-Japan, anti-EU....but I wouldn't put it past our lovely GOP-controlled government.
GOP: Blame them! They did it! *runs away w/ embezzled funds*
The -selling- of vulnerabilities in software is criminal activity any way you shake it. This kind of information should be posted in the right place.
Why should an admin have to -pay- for the information?...sounds kinda like blackmail in a sense. O_o
I assume the guy was actually selling the info on how to exploit, therefore putting valid users and companies at risk....hmm...kinda sounds a tad bit little illegal to me...
So yes, eBay did the right thing here, imo.
Slashdot needs to pick up the pace here...

Gee this feature was added to GMail at what, prolly midnight this morning? Zonk posts it at 3:05PM? Sheesh...pick up the pace. I actually waited today just to see how long it would take, I noted the change at about 11 (late morning today, hee).
Yeah...esp people who are on the phone w/ their mini head set and looking -right- at you as they talk. -_-
People like that need a good slapping for manners.:D
All I want is Adult Swim....my hell....why do I have to get freaking Senate TV? Who the hell watches that stuff or would -knowingly- pay for it?
It's nice that our goverment is graceous enough to allow us to have what we want. Thanks government!:D
Yup...I totally agree, a Service Pack in the world of M$ shouldn't be the priority.
