Because in most places the numeric form for dates is DD/MM/YY. Not MM/DD/YY.

"So, basically, everything?" Lame. There are also genres like RPG, racing, adventure, sports, simulation, fighting games (y'know, like Tekken), arcade (I will pretty much throw side scrollers, and stuff like mario in this one), puzzle. Ugh, off topic. Anyway, here's hoping that games will be XP compatible for several more years.

For espressos anyway, the bitter flavour can be a sign that the coffee was not correctly made. For many blends, extracted properly, the espresso will not be very bitter at all. so if you have not been a coffee drinker because it's too bitter, find a good coffee place! (Not Starbucks. Yuck.)

A tower would still take up more than 5 times the space of a 24" iMac. Say it with me: Size matters. Size matters. Size matters. Of course there are always trade offs.

  5. What's wrong with lego kits? on Fan-Designed Mindstorms Release Next Tuesday · · Score: 1

I keep reading that Lego makes a lot of "specific" kits that can't do anything else. How specialised are these parts exactly? I remember that when I was a kid, I would often get a small Lego kit for presents. Like a Technic kit that had a car on the box and the contents contained the pieces to build the car - of course. Once I was done building the included model, I simply added my new pieces to the rest of my collection. I've not opened a new box of Lego in years, but people make it sound that the pieces are totally incompatible.

For those who want to use Tex but don't want to do it the hard way (I recall that marking up maths was rather tedious and difficult to read sometimes) there is Lyx! I also like the concept of a "document processor". http://www.lyx.org/ http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/LyXOnMac?from=LyX.Mac

"I know Apple is seeing as gods here and this will be modded down to oblivious but hey face it, in this field they are as monopolistic as microsoft." You're not going to be modded down because you point out Apple is a monopoly. You are going to be modded down because you fail to understand that being a monopoly in and of itself is not a bad thing. What Apple has done is entirely _opt-in_.

Give it a chance. There was a documentary series on the English language here in Australia a while back. I can't remember the name. I'm not particularly interested in English or any languages but it turned out to be very interesting. Is it me or is Reality TV is giving real documentaries a bad name? :(
