Don't discount intelligent design. Evolution = intelligent design. I teach ID at University of Chicago, and there are many levels to ID that co-exist with evolution.
But I also heard that Microsoft purchased Opera through a contractor that works at Microsoft. They were gearing some development labs to work with Opera and I guess someone there just now got an email greenlighting the project.
Some ISPs are throttling your connection if you use p2p. A friend who is addicted to empornium.us for his latest porn fix, has his connection suspended for hours at a time by comcast. At first we thought there was a computer problem, but once I started searching around, it became obvious other comcast users have the same issues. I guess I would not blame the ISPs since so much bandwidth is used on P2P, however, I wonder how many more users would use p2p if they simply could.
I actually find it hard to just buy a PC, and currently with my busy schedule, I do not have the time to build one. I tried a high end HP, and we had problems from beginning, a DELL had a power supply that went bad, MPC micron is my next choice. I hear the same from others. It's just hard to get a decent PC. Local mom and pop shops are basically taking the easy way out, selling pre-made bare bone systems. If there was a time for Apple to take over, it's now.
Whenever Mossberg writes about technology, it seems anyone that reads the WSJ flocks to that technology. Google is no different. And, as we know, most that read WSJ are fairly successful.
I bet a similar study bout 80% of Mossberg recommendations would yield similar results.
I was hesitant to buy slingbox. I didnt really believe in video streaming. When I did buy it, and hooked it up, I was amazed.
I have a 60 minute commute each way, on the train. So, I fire up my laptop, plug in my EVDO card from Sprint, and I can stream TV perfectly at 200-400kbps - with only one hickup around Mount Prospect, IL.
This applies to radios. I am really amazed how well I can receive XM anywhere in the country. We went to the Burning Man a few years back, and it was just amazing to be able to listen to tunes while camping in the middle of no where (and yes, I also own an IPOD).
It amazed me how quickly Google can turn in a fix. For a company their size, they can still churn out code with speed. I wonder if Microsoft can learn a few things from Google. I also like the fact that you did not need to download a patch. It seems like a very good design was in place for these types of issues.
I lived in Macedonia for over 1 year, and open source is gaining ground. When I was consulting for ministry of finance, one of the objectives in creating new applications was to make sure they are not too tied in to Microsoft technologies. For example, they had this app that was dependant on Microsoft exchange server. We re-wrote it so any SMTP server could process the emails and convert them into SQL queries.
Is that a Linksys 1 Gig ethernet switch on top of the power server?

Would it not be called a Sea, and not an Ocean?

Yes, the nudes are not showing up! Calling apple first thing in the morning.
