One of the reasons we are able to get things so cheaply on Amazon is BECAUSE they have lower operating costs. If they have to pay taxes, and if we have to pay sales tax on such things, it increases the costs for everyone.
And how is buying from an Amazon affiliate the same as buying from a brick and mortar store? Two completely different concepts!
I'd be concerned with maybe its effects on the weather, maybe global warming.
Also, this could affect radio communications on Earth. Or perhaps not, since it probably would operate off of a different frequency.
Personally I think that geothermal energy is still a method of energy production that has yet to be tapped on a more massive scale. Why put up satellites and beam power back to Earth when we have excellent sources of power here?
A rape game is disturbing, but hey, maybe having a rape game available can help prevent a few rapes here or there. Besides, what about tentacle porn? Think of the tentacles!
Seriously, they shut down a spam king with a 35,000 computer botnet, and expected the spam to take a nose-dive? That's not gonna happen.
First of all, has the botnet been shut down? Does the botnet still have jobs/mail to send out? Is it self-propagating, so even if you shut down part of it, it can keep growing?
Seriously, I just don't think this would even put a dent in the amount of spam sent daily.
Perhaps if we made heavy spamming an offense worthy of the death penalty, then it would most likely stop.
But today, with 99.9% (pulled this statistic out of my ass) chance of not getting caught, spam will continue to be a thriving business.
Well, you have to put them into context.
The average user, with one CPU, isn't going to see much of a power usage savings advantage because 5 degrees to a single user on a single computer is minuscule.
Put that to google's data centers, where they run tens of thousands of servers in a single room at 100% usage 24/7, and the power savings will be HUGE because they're being far more efficient.
Besides, most processor coolers try to make the CPU run cooler anyway.
Let's assume that Abe can talk from beyond the grave:
WTF HAPPENED TO MY COUNTRY?!
You idiots! I had it almost perfect when I left it, now it's on the path to ruin!
Nice. I stopped playing my PSP when my original broke, this looks like a good upgrade.
I'm wondering, how has it come along in terms of games available, as well as its use as a homebrew platform? I was heavily into the homebrew scene with the original hardware version.
I agree, Mozilla being too corporate would hurt their reputation and spirit of FOSS. They should just let it slide, not like displaying an EULA is actually going to make any difference.
I honestly think that this won't make any difference. Personally, I think this is just Mozilla being picky, what would it matter whether or not the EULA is shown during installation, no one is going to read it anyway.
Besides, anyone that actually cared about FF3's EULA would read it themselves.
Well, time travel in this dimension is impossible, because as TFA states, time does not change. But what about another dimension? Could that be possible?
There are only a couple of minor bugs to work through, such as Flash and Java support.
Maybe they meant that there were minor bugs like flash stuttering or java not loading correctly. Not something like the stuff not being supported at all. I hope it's released soon and better than the PPC version.
hmmmmm. it seems that part of apple's success over dell is because of the ipod, and they're unix-based computers. well, i have a solution for dell.
make a better mp3 player than apple, and allow customers to choose between using windows or linux, as this could probably bring the cost of their PC's down, as linux is free. although their customer satisfaction ratings may go down, as the average user may not have much experience with linux.
It's not like they're missing out on anything. IE has so many problems, I'd swtich to Firefox or Safari if I had a mac. I only use IE for things that FF cant work with.
Its all BS. They're probably gonna do it again anyway.
When you think about it, M$ probably sells it to BB at $375, and BB sells it at $400. IIRC, EBgames gets XBOX 1's at $138 and sells them for $150.
They're just looking for some extra cash. And once they have it, they'll say sorry, and do it again. I'm really sick of bundles. Why should i be forced to buy things i dont want anyway? Like those EU retailers forcing consumers to buy PSP Giga Packs with 2 crappy games, for a total of $400 USD.
Ive seen alot of these around, so i decided to make one for myself:
1. Sell bushels of Ipods
2. Sell songs via Itunes
3. Make it so that more popular songs cost more.
4. Which causes more people to use P2P apps.
5. ???
6. PROFIT!!!

We should try to keep thinks cheap.

You might be able to get away with using a male intern for motion capture as well.

What a great find, sherlock.

I had AP American History, and passed the test, if that means anything.

Touche.
Thing is, does the average user know how to compile their own software, and secondly, why should they have to?

Does this mean that I'm gonna get to fly to the moon, or am I still gonna have to wait?
Wait, we can get close to light speed travel, but we cant figure out how to time travel?! This sucks.
Well, time travel in this dimension is impossible, because as TFA states, time does not change. But what about another dimension? Could that be possible?
Just a thought.

Too...many...links...must...not...click...argh...
Cool. Can't wait till 2006's games come out. *Very Excited*
Anyway...
Just got my 360. Rigged a fan to the PSU just in case. Does anyone know if H3 would be ready in time for PS3, or will it come out later?
Lets test the myth to see if kari would go out with us /.er's!:
/.er's: Hey Kari, would you go out with us?
Kari: No.
Myth: BUSTED (and a restraining order against us)

I'm pretty sure that a psp dev is gonna release a homebrew RSS Reader, thats better than the sony one.
HOMEBREW 4EVER!!!!
