    or you could jailbreak. or use another platform. My media / contacts / email / notes / dropbox will all still be on x platform, or y. I agree, they do do some weird shit, but calling them evil makes you sounds like some stupid google fanboy from engadget.

    No, i just think 2 years in today's market is fair. If they wanted to wow me they could do better. Apple's done it's share of shady stupid shit, but most companies have. (google, ms) I would throw them under a bus if android's UI was actually fully accelerated in 2.3. Maybe ice cream. Or maybe not. rows of icons is boring.

    I was an IT guy who's company got eaten by a larger marketing firm. We used to have a bunch of bound T1's. Now we have a DS3. Speed increase! however: amount of days down for 7 years pre buyout: 1, and that's combining 3 or so 3-4 hour oh shit the mail server times. it's been since jan 1, and we've been down for 8 solid days. They do everything in the cloud. in other news, anecdotal evidence is total bullshit.

    Sounds like you had a 3g. I have a 2.3 rooted incredible and a iphone 4. You must like choopy, software rendered UI's. It's the main thing i hate about android, and it's still in 2.3.

    what's awesome about your fanboy trite, is that you stay technically legit by saying phones; what makes you not worth hearing is that it doesn't bother you that they count galaxy tabs in those numbers, but not ipads. (which also can use a data plan) Nice trollin AC

    I don't think that's the case. http://www.knowyourcell.com/news/858093/ios_reach_is_59_percent_greater_than_android_in_the_us.html when you compare one phone manufacturer's phone, and not the other devices on the platform, yet you count tablets for androids, yes the picture is certainly painted that way. However, on an even playing field, it's not so. your article posts smartphone data, yet you call it iOS devices, this, imo is intentionally misleading. not to mention this is one manufacturer against quite a few high profile, long term OEMs. I have no problems with android in anyway, but I do have a problem with fanboys distorting facts to make themselves feel better about a purchase? /owns a xoom and a ipad2, because i dev for gasp, both platforms.

    First, it's intel's tech, not apples. Second, apple's pushed alot of good tech forward, maybe it's just that i'm not a bigot, but who cares who's pushing it? Would you rather sony push it and rename it ilink2? I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem with Google pushing it? which makes your post, infuriating to me. Any company that brings it, even in a proprietary form will spur on innovation. I didn't hear anything about DLNA until Apple started pushing airplay. The rise of android can be easily traced to apple's iphone, and a very worried verizon wireless. it's good for us all, ffs.
