  1. Re:What happened to accidents? on New York Judge Rules 6-Year-Old Can Be Sued · · Score: 1

IMHO this is a reason for government health care. The 4 year can't pay for the consequences. The 87 year old may not and the parents may not have insured their child for liability insurance. These are accidents society should help out with.

  2. I thought it explained some BSG questions on BSG Prequel Series Caprica Canceled · · Score: 1

I always wondered about the intensity in which the toasters loved God so much, how that evolved. I though the Caprica series delived into that. I don't think a multi season episode list would have worked, but one season, wrapping up those loose ends would have satisfied me. One the new SciFi buz model, isn't that what Sanctuary was all about?

  3. Get someone from 24 on FBI Failed To Break Encryption of Hard Drives · · Score: 1

It shows you what total BS that show is--always being able to crack encryptions in no time. Getting facts out of a prisoner in hours rather than months. I could be wrong, I've only seen a few episodes but that is what happened in the few I watched.

  4. lets redo history on Texas Schools Board Rewriting US History · · Score: 1

Can't we just let/force Texas to secede from the Union. I still don't get why we fought the civil war but that's another issue. It's what they want. Most educated people would be okay with it.

I'll consider adodos view when they release 64 bit versions for mac as well as windows. AND stop creating "cross" platform apps that use tools from Apples graphical toolbox rather than so so (your pants) unfriendly windows GUI (miniscule) tools.

  6. My idiot (ignorant at the least) teachers on One Fifth of World's Population Can't See Milky Way At Night · · Score: 1

Growing up and going to school in Queens ny in the 50s, my teachers told us about the great MW. All I could do was scratch my head. It wasn't until 10 years later (I was 16), smoking a joint on a clear winters night in VT--visiting a friend--that EUREKA. I finally knew the beauty they had spoken of. Of course none of my teachers bothered to explain that one can't see the MW from Queens ny. How ignorant could they be? colonel spalding

  7. Re:Because of the DRM on Spore the Most Pirated Game of 2008 · · Score: 1

I (my loss I suppose) just don't buy these or any games with such draconian DRM. If I can't make a copy, put a disk image on my computer and store away the original, I won't buy it. I'm very happy to put my support/money to companies like Pangea.net (Enigma 1 and 2, Bugdom 1 and 2 to name a couple) that make it easy to play there games. I like my daughter to be able to sit down and play a game--not dig around for a DVD, eject the current one, blah blah blah. --colonel spalding

You can lead a horse to water (and bob for Apple) but you can't make it drink. If it wants to drink saltwater (MS). As was recently discovered in the "M" and "W" test buy some NYU profs, there are many people in the world that just won't can't change. Unfortunately its not just their loss (see IRAQ soldiers returning with pieces missing). However the IT head is not the only one making decisions.
