  1. Numbers stations freak me out on The Numbers Stations Analyzed, Discussed · · Score: 0

I'm surprised there has not been a J-Horror movie about this. I'm am not easily scared by anything, but listening to these stations seriously freaks me out.

  2. All buildings should be solar on Google Campus to Become Solar-powered · · Score: 1, Interesting

All new building from this momnet forward should incorporate some solar and/or wind element for generating at least some electricity. There is absolutely no reason this cannot be written into the building codes of every citycounty/state in the US

  3. I like conmmentaries on Downloadable Film Commentaries Becoming Popular? · · Score: 2, Informative

I generaly like commentaries on my DVDs so that after I watch it 'clean, I can listen to people talk about it while I watch it again. I find it adds a great deal of value to a DVD. Do I want to pay another $10 to watch a movie while I listen, no, I'll save it to buy the DVD. That said, commentaires to older movies are generally better then hearing what anyone has to say about a film that just came out. Especially when some commentaries are just love fests between all the actors and crew so they don't piss anyone off they are bound to work with again.

  4. Little use in fashion, as such on MIT Media Lab Fashions · · Score: 1, Insightful

Real fashion statements are made in fabric cut and silhouette. Women's fashion is dependent on a constantly changing outline. Men's fashion might benefit, but even in a man's suit there is some variation between designers and from season to season. Changing the color and pattern is kind of useless when you've been wearing the same shirt for a week. If it get's cold, your windbreaker can't color change into a parka and scarf. I figure this has limited use in fashion design, but plenty of use as adaptive camoflage.

  5. Lt Uhura- is that you? on Bluetooth Headset Roundup · · Score: 2, Funny

Of all the things to come to pass from the original Star Trek, I never in my wildest dreams figured we'd all look like Lt. Uhura with these things hanging out of our ears. Note to the general public- you look stupid with those things hanging out of your ears. Cel Phone conversations in public shall be considered an invitation to slap you upside the head.

  6. War against Pedophilia? on US Intensifies Fight Against Child Pornography · · Score: -1, Troll

This would mean something if half of Homeland Security weren't pedophiles themselves.

  7. Keep it simple. on Thinking About Desktop Eyecandy · · Score: 0

I don't know what the need is for transparent and exploding icons on the desktop. I prefer a clean desktop with a list of programs and link to dive into my hard drives. Anything else is a distraction and waste of resources for me.

  8. Re:Movie Attendance on Digital Cinema Not Quite There Yet · · Score: 0

Digital cinema is a money loser for theaters. The equipment is very expensive and the upgrades are very expensive. Expensive well beyond the cost of paying for film prints. There is a very inexpensive alternative that involves a projector mod allowing for 48 fps projection instead of the standard 24 fps. the image quality is beyond stunning and the dollar outlay is minimal. But someone got digital projection stuck in their head and now it won't go away.

  9. In Your Forehead? on RFID, Sign of the (End) Times? · · Score: 0, Flamebait

No Self Respecting Beast-worshipper is going through life with a chip in their FOREHEAD. It might look fairly cool passing your hand or wrist across a scanner, but it would look pretty stupid pressing your head on the checkout counter everytime you bought a flat of Ramen noodles. This is not the 'Sign of the Beast' because no one is having a scanner waved int heir face everytime they thought they were saving $2.00 at WalMart. BTW- Jesus never existed and the bible was written by a bunch of power mongers with an political axe to grind. Then when the early church decided what books to include in the 'Official Bible', they were led by a bunch of power mongers with a political axe to grind. The 'Christian Chuch' is nothing but a bunch of power mongers with a political axe to grind. that, and money grubbing whores.
