There are some older Intel based Macs that will not run anything later than Snow Leopard.
Also, Snow Leopard will NOT run on PowerPC based Macs. The latest OS that will run is Leopard.
Blu-ray was bound to win this so-called format war, because HD-DVD doesn't have as good of a picture. HD-DVD can't do 1080p, and therefore was always going to be the big loser in this battle. I don't understand how anyone wasted their hard earned money on a shoddy, pseudo-HD format. Um, I don't know where you are getting this notion that HD-DVD does not do 1080p, but this link proves that wrong:

There was plenty of porn available on LaserDisc. The thing that killed it was the fact that the DVD format was smaller, making it more portable than a 12 inch platter, and much cheaper. I paid between 50 and 100 dollars for some LaserDisc movies over ten years ago. I still have the player and lots of movies. Anyway, lack of porn had absolutely nothing to do with the end of the LaserDisc. And by the way, Sony had nothing to do with the format, it was mainly Pioneer pushing it.
F355 Challenge is one of the better racing games out there. It's a must-have if you have a DC and are into racing games. Pretty good port of the arcade version.
I also recommend Silent Scope. Another unique game that ported fairly well from the arcade.
Man, all this thinking about the Dreamcast makes me want to go home and fire it up tonight.
The thing you are forgetting about is that Gmail is now available for your own personal domain. Therefore you still run the risk of sending mail to a Gmail account, even if it is not to a gmail.com address. More info here: https://www.google.com/hosted
